Your recordings still continue onto the sd card even if you turn off your phone from the app. You can access the recordings once you connect back to the camera using your phone

In a 5m distance you can use just a straight csblr direct from the power supply to the camera. Unless the length is beyond 100m that you will need to do a localised power supply.

You need a cabled Internet for the recorder. For the receiving phone, any kind of internet is ok

By system programming, you can configure which extension or phone rings when an outside line call comes through but the system also has a default ringing extension for Outside line calls and i have intentionally connected the black phone to the default ringing extension port, that's why it rings. You can program it so that the white can ring as well.

Thanks for the observation. My handsets am using are Single line telephones which require just the stripped blue + solid blue to communicate. When wiring for Consoles and key Telephones, you would need the 2 pairs where you must strictly use either the blue pair and green at both ends or the blue and orange at both ends.

You are very observant. I used Single line telephones all through my setup and they require just the blue blue to communicate. If i need to use a Console telephone or a Key phone, it would require having the blue pair and orange pair at both ends or blue and green at both ends. Thanks for the observation.

1. Am yet to do videos on hikvision 2. When you are given a reset code, that works when your equipment is online, so you will have to provide Internet for your device and do the reset.

@@Tech_Inside_Out I have my router connected to the DVR but at a point because of their late response in sending the code there was power⚡ outage which turned off the device. This is the message I got when I used to reset code, it said something about encryption location is empty.
