I have quick question, if i go on feel alone then i have noticed that there is under extrusion on the top surface, but the surface finish is the smoothest, if i pick one with correct extrusion on the top layer, then i have rough scared edges, would you pick the under extruded one and then fix the under extrusion or the one with correct extrusion and fix the edges.

I gotta be honest ... ever since Bambu Lab burst on the scene my interest in building a Voron (having thoroughly upgraded and klipper-fied my ol' Ender 3 Pro) has diminished to the point that I don't think I'm going to bother. After years of tinkering I just want a quality 3D printer that works out of the box and is reasonably serviceable / upgradable. Also, AMS is a major plus.

You don't mention anything about visual inspection. If you pause the video at 5:38 you can clearly see that you're under extruding while looking at the -10 test piece. There are gaps between the lines. Not only does the piece need to feel smooth but you don't want any gaps between the lines. I appreciate the video though, and I'll still give a thumbs up, but you may want to take a second look at how you're calibrating your flow rates.

As of this If you have an older Mac hold off on the update of 2.1.1 as there are issues that they are working on.. Crashes and does not start

Orca is one of the worst designed programs I have ever used. It is stupid, has no flow to the software, you cannot even easily setup the printer. There is no help files. The Device Tab opens to an image that does nothing. And you cannot do anything from the Device Tab. Setting up the printer is impossible. This is a freaking idiotic program. Like a 15 year old designed and implemented it. So far I cannot say anything good about this software. I hate it. Its no possible to master the basics. A program should have a flow to it. It should be Designed so an idiot can operate it without help files. But even, this program has no help files. That is rule number 1 in designing software. Is put very well thought out help files. And the person who did this video assumed that the printer was already set up. And assumed so many things. I have operated software and designed software for 30 years. And I cannot figure out this software. If I cannot do it, then few can.

Is there a way to solve a problem that I have? When installing the first file, the screen just stays on CREALITY and doesn't let me move forward. I have the same Ender 3V2 NEO printer

Thank you for this. I don't have the pro firmware, so I don't have access to the z-offset wizard. After really giving the hotend some hard treatment (namely replacing because the nozzle was just flaking apart and could not be taken off, resulting in bending the plate the probe was connected to slightly), I kind of forgot the entire process. This got me up and running after installing a fresh new hotend, and correct for my latest blunder.

For line width I have changed to using percentages of nozzle diameter instead of the precise values. I did this because there were no available 0.2mm and 0.25mm profiles for the Creality K1 Max.

10:59 if you have a good printer, improvement from opt out autocooling for outer walls will probably only be visible on glossy prints.

With Orca I kinda like 3d honeycomb over adaptive cubic, but I haven't done a lot of testing.

I can't even start Orca until I choose a printer and my Rostock Orion V2 is not listed. I don't even understand the generic choices - it seems like Cartesian and delta should be the main alternatives but the "generic" choices sound like more brand names to me. How much does printer choice even matter? isn't gcode just instructions to send your hot-end to X, Y, Z, and extrude N filament? I thought it was my printer's firmware that determined how to translate that into specific printer behavior.

I’m having an issue with the nozzle scraping the infill. Orca did not seem to care if I had zhop enabled or not. I changed the infill pattern to get it to stop but there has to be some setting that will fix it for all infill. All prints look good. No other issues. Any ideas? FF AD5M. Orca-FF and Orca 2.1b.
