My 12 pc set was remarkably awful. there were two in the set that didn't require a total re-profiling.

Tom was my first guitar teacher when I was 9. I’ve always wanted to thank him for getting me to sing! I went on to a life in music, writing, performing, touring etc. I’ve had a music school for the last 3 decades - helping to spread the music! Thank you, Tom. Great to see these clips. Would love to know if he plays anywhere anytime!

I’d be interested to know what that block of marble stock costs. Nice job Sir!
@joedillett8 ай бұрын
Retail price of Colorado marble, here in the Midwest, can run as high as $4 USD per pound. If you order a ready-cut block, that is in stock, from the quarry, with shipping the cost can be almost as low as 1$ USD per pound. One cubic foot of stone, almost any stone including Marble, is 170 pounds. If I can use the blocks I cut off, I do not include their weight in the price of material. This block, cut and ready to carve, was about 1200 pounds. My wholesale cost would be about $1500. I would charge close to the retail price, for material, about $4000 USD. Labor is additional.

I bought some Schaaf chisels earlier this year at the recommendation of a woodcarving site. Mine are terrible! Do NOT buy them. They look like the people who make them do not care and only know how to make a chisel-like tool. The tang on more than a few were not set into the handle straight and many of the edges are malformed and uneven. Even with sharpening and honing they did not perform well at all. Save your money no buying something better.

I’m getting a lot of wobble using the threaded rod. Do you have a technique to get the rod straightened, or just a matter of finding the best rod. Thanks for this. I bought a set of Schaaf tools and they did need sharpening, especially the V-tools, I must have ground about a 1/2” of steel off the tool before watching your video. Made the system and once set up the V-tool was razor sharp in a few minutes.

I'm really pleased with this! It works like a charm kzfaq.infoUgkxDcr-y2Pf6xdnrFHrSP7dl9kpKaCozcSQ Takes less time than my old electric sharpener because it can take more off the knife faster, and then it smooths out nicely with the finer grit polisher. I don't know how long it will last before the grit wears away, but I wouldn't mind having to replace it every once in a while.

I picked up one of these secondhand today, only just started playing with it and I'm amazed by how versatile it is.. I thought it best to come find some demonstration videos on KZfaq to see what else I'm missing. Thanks for pointing out the drill clamp, I was a little confused as to what that part was (no user manual with this one). The irony of finding THIS video first however, is that I myself am actually physically disabled. My left arm has been paralyzed since a motorbike accident back in 2007. So, yes.. I can vouch for the fact that it is indeed very easy to use with one hand. :)

Hi I would like to thank sincerely for kindly sharing your valuable experience with all the people I have seen other videos on the topic but this one is by far the best of all at least in my humble opinion I wanted to buy a table grinder but i have never felt comfortable with the 3000 or more rpm I understand now that even a cheaper drill can be used without a negative impact on the final result I have to make one wooden support asap I will ask a friend who owns the needed machinery Thanks again and Kindest regards Gino
