I'm concerned about lack of sunlight or fresh air. Mine are now leaf-drooped due to low pressure weather and frost. The leaves still have good colour but browned. It's outside and I don't want to do it harm taking it in. An other Frangipani-Plumeria video shows during dormancy the Frangipani is ok inside, so I think I will move my potted Frangipani in out of frosty leaf harm mornings. It will still get but inside, in-direct, much lower, but still that lesser, low intensity day-light.
@RichardSites19 күн бұрын
Here in Florida, they get "rust" during the summer and then drop all the leaves. Good luck and thanks for watching & commenting.

Thanks for showing coconut palms in Florida. Main type of tall type coconut in Florida is Jamaica tall? Looks like there are many Malayan dwarf also. Looks fun to be there. I have been growing 3 coconut at home in Tokyo for 10 to 12 years. They seem to be Malayan dwarf, but I can't exactly tell. Also, 2 coconut I bought from an Indian store has spout. Those are from south India. Maybe those are West Coast tall or East coast tall type. It’s fun to grow coconut.

I like the common name the Flamboyant tree better for Delonix regia, because I sometimes get it mixed up with Caesalpinia pulcherrima, the Dwarf Poinciana which is smaller but a great shrub as well. I see them in Thailand all over the place, so they must be everywhere.

Hey Richard, thanks for your video! My ponytail palm is growing bended as it is trying to catch more sun light (it is in my garden next to a huge bamboo). I will move it so it doesnt have to compete for the sun light. Do you have any advice on planting it out safely? Thanks a lot :)

They are extremely durable and you should have no trouble moving it. However, it wouldn't hurt to root prune 1/3 each week before moving. Good luck. Thanks for watching and commenting.

My Sister is on Longboat Key, over the bridge from Sarasota. Does this plant do okay with lots of ocean air? She is surrounded, literally. Thank you for your post.

I don't think the salt there will bother it but she should probably plant it in a spot with broken shade and protection from the north wind. These plants do not like cold weather.. neither do I. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@RichardSites You're welcome! My dad planted the tree many years ago! He also was given a Golden Rain Tree, planted a Southern Magnolia (which replaced a smaller one), Geiger, Shaving Brush Tree, and a Fishtail Palm! He also planted a Red Litania, Fiji Fan Palm, and Carpentaria Palm which the last 3 have died! And the trees/palms that were there when my family moved in there was a Cherry Tree (Which was a Brush Cherry) which was struck by lightning and died, 2 Confederate Red Hibiscus Bushes, 2 Laurel Oaks (1 borders the neighbors yard), a Pink Frangipani/Plumeria (In my neighbor's yard and was planted by one of the former owners about a year after my family moved in), a few Queen Palms (There used to be more but some of them died) and what grew when we lived here was a Cabbage Palm and 2 more Queen Palms that are all still there! There was also a Star Jasmine or Orange Jasmine which was there, and I have 4 Slash Pines that were there! There's also a Carrotwood that started growing in my backyard (1 of them being dead)!
