@BarsleaksUSA it's working just adding small amount of water every time now is been 4 days since I used no smoking at all no misfire I'm not sure how long it will last but this thing men it's really great

@@user-hp5gt9tz7z It can take a few days over multiples thermocycles to fully seal. If it is decreasing and misfire and smoking are gone the leak should be sealed in no time.

I used the head seal carbon Fiber stuff and lifters seems to run dry.. what do you suggest? The engine now would like a diesel truck especially in the head ..

Yes this product can be used on a turbo engine. It is best to flush the system with a cooling system flush before using, this will give the most effective seal as the product will circulate properly to the leaking area.

I placed Bars Fix head gasket repair ran car for 20 minutes, turned heater on with fan to high, turned the engine off and the next day I filled the reservoir with coolant and drove around. At first the engine light was on then it turned off for two days and has been on now for five days. It should not be a big leak because I don't have smoke from the tailpipe nor does the car over heat. The car was diagnosed as a gasket issue because of a compression test and a block leak test. Do I need to add more or what is the issue?

My car has 55k miles on it. A block test and a cylinder compression test confirmed it is a head gasket leak because I have a check engine light on. There is no white or black smoke coming out of the tailpipe. I went ahead an applied the entire bottle of Bars Fix with a cool engine and let the engine idle for 20 mins with the heater on and fan set to high. After the car cooled off the next day I applied more coolant. When I drove the car the check engine light remained on but after I took it out a second time the light turned off for two days and back on again. Can I apply another bottle or is there a chance that it is still sealing and the light will eventually stay off?

We would suggest to give the product around 250 miles worth of driving before ruling out that dose did not work. Also the best way to install the second dose would be to flush the system well with water before applying into fresh 50/50 coolant. Run per instructions on second dose just as stated on the back of the packaging.

Im attempting to preserve a smalll headgasket leak. I was thinking making the tablet install a little more challenging. Instead of dropping right into the radiator fill port, i was going to try removing the radiator lower hose, where it connects to the engine, and install tablets there, then perform a vacuum refill of the system. My theory is that maybe i can get the product to focus and concentrate on the head gasket area of the coolant circuit. Thoughts?

Yes you can add these to the hose but we would suggest to add them to the upper radiator hose not the lower. Crush the tablets up well and add them to some coolant/water mixture and then add to the system when they are nice and dissolved. Run per instructions and you will have great success!

@@BarsleaksUSA the vehicle specifics, it's a 2015 Grand Cherokee, with 3.6 V6. The coolant circuit, the radiator lower hose attaches to water pump/block. The radiator upper hose attaches to the thermostat. Trying to remember, but, when I was inspecting the vehicle, I THINK the lower hose started building heat first. The upper hose was the one that eventually came to temperature (thermostat opened). It was a long weekend, and I might have things reversed 😅. But, if I'm right, then adding the tablets to the lower hose seem like the correct method. Please correct me, but my theory was that the water pump would get it circulating early, and the thermostat would somewhat help keep the tablets on that half of the coolant circuit until the thermostat eventually opened. Is that your theory as well? I hope what I typed is not too confusing, trying to type what goes on in my mind doesn't always go as planned from time to time. 😅

@@sidewayzmike see full instructions below - DIRECTIONS NOTE: Cooling systems that are dirty or partially clogged should absolutely be flushed before usage. Remove radiator cap when engine is cool. Install two (2) tablets in radiator for each gallon of cooling system capacity. If vehicle does not have a regular radiator cap, remove top hose where it attached to radiator and insert tablets in hose and then reinstall hose. Tablets may be crumbled or pre-dissolved for easier application. NOTE: Most vehicles will use all six tablets. Fill radiator and reservoir to proper level. Reinstall radiator cap. Drive/idle engine for 15 minutes at normal operating temperature. If leak persists, a second application may be necessary.

I am planning to use the bars leak head seal carbon fiber reinforced stuff in my turbocharged race engine… the cylinder 4 leaks a little bit of coolant just have misfire when cold once hot it runs fine but lacks some power.. if it a better way to remove the spark plug and disconnect the injectors in cylinder 4 to ensure it the fix works better? Pls let me know..

No we do not recommend to remove the plug, run the vehicle as it would normally run when operating.

I apparently blew a head gasket over the winter in my '01 Wrangler I use to plow my driveway. I was just hoping the thing would last until we move in a two years... just 2 more winters please. So when I had my mechanic take a look at what was going on with it, he told me it was a blown head gasket. Not wanting to dump any more $ into this thing I was pretty dismayed I'd have to be looking for someone to plow next season. He called me and told me about this product. Figured WTF, worth the price of the bottle to give it a try, but had zero confidence. Well, after two full thermo-cycles, the Jeep stopped blowing white smoke and had full power again. So, awesome product from where I'm standing.

If you are wanting something for PM reasons we would suggest the HDC Radiator Stop Leak Tablets. These will be able to stop a leak if it does start to arise and help with corrosion protection and rust in the cooling system as well.

You will want to be low enough fluid to add the products proper dosage without overfilling the system.

This issue was not caused by the product, we have spoken to the particular customer. The exhaust pipe had caught fire near the Catalytic Converter. The fire was caused due to a very clogged catalytic converter. The owner did state that the car had a P0420 code and he added the product, P0420 code is a fuel related problem not oil or coolant. The customer actually used the HG-1 Head Seal not the OS-1 Oil Seal product. The review on amazon is false, the product did not have any factor in the vehicles issues.

my 1997 dodge ram van developed a bad shudder that made it almost undriveable & the chrysler dealer diagnosed it as a blown head gasket.. I used the bars leaks HG-1 sealer & followed the directions to the T. I was amazed as it worked! its been many months even with some interstate driveing & it is fixed. My 2018 Honda trans developed a small leak. I am thinking to add it until the leak stops and then change the fluid. Will it just start leaking again without the product?

No, when the product stops the leak it will be solved for a long period of time even if you replace the fluid in the transmission. Let the product stay in the system for around 250-300 miles before replacing fluid.

It depends on the product, 2 of the 3 shown in this video are compatible with coolant and do not need to be flushed out after install. 1 of the products is only compatible with water and requires it being flushed out after install. You can install into a pressurized overflow if you do not have access to the radiator. If you have access you will need to install directly into the radiator.

This is crazy i had a blwn head gasket on my 4 runner i posted it on Craigslist for 1500 no one wanted it.. i eneded up buying a bottle and i put the whole thing topped my water and idled for 25 mins white smoke was still visible but no overheat i then drove kinda misfiring for 20 mins the truck started idling fine and no smoke i parked for1 hour topped it off and drove for 30 mins the car was greater than ever could not belive it.. my check engine light was still on on the way back home i pulled over at gas station and pumped gas and magically my check engine light code also came off so far so good!!! Ima smog this bihh tomorrow lmaoo good lookin bars💯💯

If the oil is contaminated you will want to preform an oil change before install. If contaminated after sealing the leak, yes change the oil again as you do not want to run any oil with a coolant mix in your vehicle this can cause engine damage.

You will just not use your heat at this time, you can overlook that in the install. Please keep the heater on hot and fan on high even if not working properly.

I have manual celica 2zz 6 speed trans and it has synchro issue ... Can't downshift it makesclanking noise ... Will it fix it ?

This may help with that issue, if its an electronic issue and the synchro is electronic it may not help. The clanking noise it should help to eliminate that. Is the car driving ok other than the downshifting?

If used in a clean cooling system at the proper dosage no restrictions will occur. If you have not cleaned the cooling system with a cooling system flush in the last 4 years or 40k miles we would suggest to flush before using.

It is best to change the oil before. This way you are not running the vehicle for a long period of time with contaminated oil.
