I havnt blocked the egr only restricted. with restrictor I do not get any codes on the non water cooled model. however, i have read some people getting codes on the newer water cooled models when they restrict and or block off egr. Refer to facebook.com/groups/HiluxN70/ for info that may help you.

Interesting. I dont see that in my fuel economy. Maybe its a very small loss that i just havnt noticed. My vehicle is very good on economy anyway. 650-700km/70l tank highway 200-300kg in tub and 500 odd km/70l 350-400kg in tubb Fraser Island/sand. To help with economy, iv heard intake clean helps then new injectors if clean doesnt give substantial results. Ive replaced my injectors and cleaned egr only but economy DID NOT change noticebly.

@@dannz1 Most of my driving is in rural residential, so lower speed, and lower engine load. Low load is where the egr system will save fuel. I went from 11.5km/L to to 10km/L. If you were doing mostly highway speed, or heavy acceleration or towing I dont think you would loose economy as is your experience.

no, I just did mine, but if a code come up then just delete it, while it should not come up, a 70 pucks scanner will do the erase of all codes. mind that I put one with 7mm hole, not to have the code again

I knows it a bit late But I'm pretty sure when you blank it off all the excess unburnt fuel and oil gets send right out the exhaust and doesnt recirculate back through the manifold so there should be any build up And in regards to the 7mm hole I think it is to stop the ecu from throwing codes I have my egr blanked and have the egr turned off through my unichip on my lux so I don't throw codes 👍

1stly, a diff drop is used to realign the driveshaft angle when a lift is installed, back to, or closer to, factory angle, so as to preserve the life of driveshaft and minimise breakages when wheels are fully drooped in off road conditions. there are also other problems that may occur when lifting and having shafts on max specification angles or more such as seals leaking. The diff drop used in my vid is a cheap alternative to a more comprehensive drop. The more comprehensive drop is also commonly known as a diff relocation as it also brings the diff a little forward as well as dropping. The relocation will cost more as it has upgraded/heavier duty diff brackets and bolts. FYI, I have since upgraded to the relocation kit as I am doing more harder trax now and want more peace of mind.

its easy as on the models without egr cooler. I havent got a light yet with the 7mm hole plate. I have read in the forums that the non egr models, you can blank it off as it uses a mech solonoid without sensors BUT I have also been told the opposite. After much deliberation I went with the 7mm hole because imo and reading from others, a little bit of moisture in cylinders helps lubrication. I would think at some stage that hole would eventually block up anyway. Glad to hear the vid has some use for you. Cheers!

@@dannz1 I've gone remote res adjustable from superior engineering. Adjusted to 10mm above 2" so when settled it should sit bang on 2" lift. They say you don't require a diff drop on 2" or less but for a bit of insurance on the CVs I'm putting in a spacer style diff drop anyway (hence watching this video) . Hoping the superior engineering DD has all the correct parts unlike snake racing.

@@smatt9993 theoretically you dont cause the angle of cv is within oem tolerance. The problem is...when you full droop over time it wears out and/or deforms the shaft seal and after several rut crossings the seal starts leaking. This is my experience. It may not happen at all to yours but it did mine.

ive also been using diesel doctor fuel treatment every tank fill. It stabilises bad fuel. the ticking noise is normal if your injectors are old.

@@dannz1 hey mate cheers for going to the effort to link that seafoam up! might have to try it out. Pretty much will try anything short of actually replacing my injectors for $$$ reasons. Didn't end up having luck with the diesel purge as my return fuel hose is too short and situated too low, compared to the ingoing line being up high. Arrogant me didnt think to buy a length of spare fuel hose first lol

Suking from can through filter into motor. The other hose going into can is return line returning unused but possibly dirty fuel which would be otherwise filtered out by oem filter back into motor.

swapnil pedkar dominator is half price and in my opinion just as good. I got my installed by local 4x4 specialist. Cost me labour only and they do whinch installs all the time so thet know what there doing. If arb doing your bar get em to do whinch too i reakon.

Not sure how mant k's but was a full lap of island and a a spin to yeppoon beach with 1/4 tank left.

The purge is to clean injectors. And yes debris does get into fuel. Be it smaller than the fuel filter but over time it builds up.

Ryan Arthurson maybe some sort of quick release so as to remove the whole box without too much fuss to gain back the utilty functionality.

He Jason, sorry for late reply. I dont have specific measo's that i used and my rig is elsewhere at the moment. But what i did to start with was allow more room to one side of the tray so that i could utilise the space better. Rather than having 2 equal gaps between wheel arches to draw i opted to have one side hard against one side of the wheel arch. then i took a rough measo where it sits at top keeping in mind a range of length eg 100mm - 200mm to play with from say side of tray to hole in bracket then i got under the car and roughly measo that to see if anything in the way. u might have to play around with the bracket too. loosen it off and u can slide it backwards and forwards. hope this helps

The hoses should be submrrsed to stop air getting in system. To purge air you need to pump the fuel filter until the pump goes hard or the motor runs normally.

Migel Siali my vehicle after purge ran fine. i believe diesels knock a little alot more noticebly than petrol. after purge i didnt notice any substantial change or particles as i had my filter changed 6 months previously and it is a well looked after vehicle.
