To me it appears that Dyson don’t want you to clean the filters!

Contact dyson directly and the replace a refurbished one as they said lifetime warranty. No need to go through this

With the amount a Dyson costs, how can they expect a consumer to go through all that to clean a part of the vacuum that could have just been designed to be screwed off to clean it.,.so stupid!
@FINDITFIXITRESTOREITBUILDIT4 күн бұрын
the screw off filter was released later as a additional heppa filter and sold as a premium product. yes I agree something so simple should be easier to remove but it's another reason to make you buy the newer version.

Our Dyson is No. WC8-US-MGE1261A. Is that the same as the one you are showing? Because I don’t see the latches to release the canister like yours.

I did this using a China knock-off 12-volt lithium battery that I had purchased for my Milwaukee. It does not show positive or negative. I used a test light to determine positive and negative. the test light I have shows a red light for positive and green light for negative.

I can jump start my truck using a lithium 18 volt. I had four bars lit up and it only took down one. The thing is if your battery in your truck is completely dead dead then this may drain your lithium battery completely.

Tip no 3 just got my Dyson v7 animal working again. The top filter wasn't badly clogged but when emptied and cleaned the main unit stopped pulsing. Thank you for the advice 👍

I have a Dyson V7 and the 2nd filter simply twists off. No need to disassemble anything.

These dyson cordless sticks are not designed to be taken apart, they just want you to buy another one. Super expensive junk. You’re better off with a different brand, better still get a Henry Quick and you will never have to clean anything again like what I did.

Has anyone came across that when your brush bar is disconnected your Dyson works fine but as soon as you connect the brush bar I get absolutely nothing. It’s showing a steady blue light on the side, as soon as I disconnect it again the motor turns on. It’s like there’s a short somewhere and as soon as I connect the brush bar it just stops 🤷♂️

I would say it's a fault in the motor head probably the motor has shorted out.

Thank you. I followed another cleaning tutorial (just washing in the sink without taking the long filter apart. When I put everything back together after drying out, I started getting the pulsing right away. When I took the filter apart a big wad of hair was wadded up in narrow part of the filter. Once it was removed, it ran like a champion! I thought I had managed to damage something during cleaning, but this did the trick. Thank you for taking the time to share it!
