As it is basically a female version of "Port", as you can see through this gender transition: der Port (male) der/das Ort (place) (still male, but some non-binary) das Tor (gate) (non-binary) das/die Toor (quarter trans) die/das Tör (half trans) die Tür (door) (fully transgender female)

@HerrFerguson

Either / Or. You are right but for set phrases like ‘red card’ or ‘yellow jersey’ (cycling) they are usually capitalised!

Gute Frage! Normally ‘wie steht es?’ (How does it stand?) or ‘wie steht es bei + (team name)?’ Or ‘wie steht es beim Spiel (Team A) gegen (Team B)?’ “Entschuldigen Sie bitte. (Excuse me, please. Do you know what the score is in the Germany vs. Scotland game?) Hope that helps!

Correct me if I’m wrong for thinking about this wrong but I feel like one could rationalize by the da words being similar to a contraction of das + a preposition, so for example damit would be literally it with

Hi there, I need your help. I am blind and a braille user and I’ve been trying to learn German for fun. I’ve been trying for a year now with every resource I can get my hands on from the videos to other creators to Duolingo to book etc. However I am struggling because although I want to take it very seriously I cannot get any Braille resources. At least where I am in the world German is not a super popular language meaning these resources are not readily available, and neither could I find anything to purchase like on Amazon. Therefore, what do I do? Even with your videos for example which are really auditory I cannot take notes. I cannot see the videos to get down the spelling, and then be able to review those notes. Therefore reviewing those notes looks like watching your videos again which isn’t super productive, at least for me because ordinarily my ideal learning style is taking notes and practising off those notes and then creating questions about those notes and seeing if I can answer those questions, etc. I understand that you might not have an answer, but if you did have any ideas or suggestions please let me know. Thank you
