Your core body needs to stay warm at all cost. Thats why we carry puffy jackets. Legs cointain no vital organs so they can handle cold better. This is summer time and as soon as you start hiking it gets hot, you sweat and you don't have time or will to stop, take off your shoes, then pants, and then put on shorts and shoes again. So, you wake up, you put your puffy, shorts and you are good. If you are a bit cold hiking will take care of that in a minute. I hope I did explain well 😄

@@NHTesla best could mean many things, i'll write one of the most beautiful place here, it's called Szalajka-völgy (valley). You can find it near Szilvasvarad, many hiking routes around, many small rivers, the whole thing is magical :)

Convenience is the interruption of fulfilment and serenity????? So here's the thing. You're experiencing serenity walking in nature (with your sturdy shoes and socks and your food supplies and equipment all bought conveniently in a modern industrial world), not surviving in it. Survival in nature is nothing like serenity and starvation is nothing close to fulfillment. Both serenity and fulfilment describe desires of people from the civillized world, whether ancient or modern societies these desires are exactly why we humans created convenient villages and cities and developed expertise and complex systems to cater for the needs of the population, including advanced medical equipment - which im sure you're supremely grateful for if you have a tendon injury and need surgery..... Anyway blah blah we enjoy nature because our basic survival needs are met elsewhere 🙏🤔💚

I agree with you. But that's the reason why we like and need nature even more. All I have said in movie cannot be erased because we live and like human world. Starvation I have felt did me good because of a full fridge I have taken for granted. I am not wasting water after I have experienced thirst like never before. And so on. It is all about learning and gratitude which most of the time is happening outside of our comfort, in crisis.

I never had the opportunity to quit my job and hike for four months. I did have the opportunity to work at a job located out in the middle of nowhere off roads not traveled by much of anyone. When I needed to, I lifted my head from my task and stared out into the quiet of the wilderness. My greatest joy was exploring that wilderness and learning the habits of the wildlife and discovering the history of the humans that inhabited it long before modern man showed up. That was my greatest joy: to be inserted into the home of some wonderful wildlife; everything from kit fox to wild horses to bobcat. The birds and bugs out there were crazy, too. I may not have been on some kind of planned journey, but the journey of my life brought me to the wilds of the high desert and I'll be forever grateful.

hy gusy, i am from indonesia, and let me say that i am really inspired from your documentation video. i am a hiker as well, i occasionally think that we need to share this thing in hoping that people are able to understand a lot concerning the importance of natural balance. I live in indonesia with the beauty and richness of nature, but slowly all of that is starting to disappear because too many humans see the happiness of life only in the abundance of money, even if it has to sacrifice the balance of nature. i hike not only about finding peace and realising that we are part of nature, but by hiking it teaches us to re-contemplate that we cannot live without a balanced nature.

Great observation and thoughts. I agree with you on this one. Humans live in ego systems in which they pursue material goods as only value. That is deeply wrong and we can see that in environment around us. Hopefully great change in human contiousness will happen soon.

Na žalost takvih "džibera" ima sve više, te ova divna oaza gubi na kvalitetu, davno nekada (pre 30 gdina) uživao sam u apsolutnom miru tamo, i potpunom izostanku civilizacijskih tekovina......I POSEBNO MI JE DRGAO DA JEDAN "STRANAC" PRAVILNO AKCENTUJE IME GOSTUŠE, ZA RAZLIKU OD MNOGIH SRBA ....

It's safe. Not many wild life here. But if you are coming for a good hike aim for Croatian Long Distance Trail. This short hike on island of Krk is really not so fun.
