Could I have to high T-lvls which fatigued my receptors? Quick info: Personal trainer for 8 years, 30y old, 15y of training, good diet 160-200g protein per day (no shakes), 4-6 training days per week (prog overload, deload, deepest ROM etc..). I have some muscle but I don't look like I trained my ass, which I do... (181cm, 81kg 14-15% bf) I have 1.100-1.300 ng/dl test and over refference range free testosterone. Was diagnosed with 21 alfa hydroxylase defficiency (40-60% defficiency) doctor thought I was on gear. FSH, LH all normal. Estrogen/progesteron is very low... So my belief is I have bad receptor sensitivity. What can I do?

If you want an honest opinion, I started feeling the effect of the maca after a week... Especially in terms of libido, I'm serious it literally gave me more desire than before taking it. But I think you have to spend some money tho, good quality maca I'm using works, I don't know about low quality ones. And also you still need to have a good lifestyle, work out and eat good... But man the effect is literally insane, at least for me

Having taken Ashwaghandha for 2 months now, I am unsure if what I am experiencing is due to side effects or not. I am getting terrible/crippling head rush (you know like when you get up too quickly) except it is constant and it is terrible feeling of pressure. I also feel like I am going to black out/faint, and the 45 min workouts I have been accustomed to for over a year, now feel undoable (even though I push through). I also feel like I am outside my body; yes it is weird! Ashwaghandha has really transformed my sleep (I have insomnia); I now sleep all through the night but I am extremely tired all day. I saw my doctor who organised an MRI scan of my brain last week, the results of which I await. I have not stopped the supplement because it helps me sleep, but I think I may have to. I will see what the brain scan shows in due course, I guess. Anyone else had this?

My doctor told me to take fish oil and the VA provided me with a ton of it. I took it for a week and started getting huge boils especially in the nether regions. I tried flax oil, same thing, pumpkin oil same.

I know curcumin caused sever gastric distress when I took it. I only needed a few pills to know it was not for me. Also, I had appendix symptoms from pepper, but it wasn't black pepper, it was a gourmet mix of light brown, white, and pink peppercorns. The VA was going to fly me to Portland for emergency surgery but the life flight plane was delayed so they sent me to a civilian hospital or a CT scan, in that they saw severe bowel irritation near the appendix but not appendicitis. So I stopped using the pepper which was the only new thing in my diet and it resolved on its own in a few days.

Human Studies: While there is less research on humans, some studies suggest a potential positive effect. One study found that quercetin supplementation in combination with other nutrients improved sperm quality and testosterone levels in men with infertility issues.
@lvlxdanish233511 күн бұрын
Quercetin is a flavonoid found in onions and has been studied for various health benefits, including its potential effects on testosterone levels. However, the statement that quercetin is an enzyme that converts testosterone into DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is incorrect. Quercetin is not an enzyme; it is a plant compound with antioxidant properties. Here's a more accurate breakdown of the role of quercetin and onions in relation to testosterone: Quercetin and Testosterone Antioxidant Properties: Quercetin is known for its strong antioxidant properties, which can help reduce oxidative stress in the body. Lower oxidative stress can positively impact overall health and hormone balance, including testosterone levels. Potential Testosterone Boost: Some studies have suggested that quercetin can increase the production of testosterone by enhancing the activity of enzymes involved in testosterone synthesis and protecting Leydig cells (the cells in the testes that produce testosterone) from oxidative damage. DHT and 5-Alpha Reductase DHT Conversion: Testosterone can be converted into DHT by the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. DHT is a more potent androgen than testosterone and plays a role in the development of male characteristics, but high levels of DHT are also associated with conditions like male pattern baldness and prostate enlargement. Quercetin's Role: Quercetin is not directly involved in converting testosterone to DHT. Instead, some studies have indicated that quercetin might actually inhibit the activity of 5-alpha reductase, potentially reducing the conversion of testosterone to DHT. This inhibition could help maintain higher levels of testosterone while preventing excessive DHT-related issues. Summary While onions and their quercetin content might have a positive effect on testosterone levels due to their antioxidant properties and potential inhibition of 5-alpha reductase, the overall impact on hormone levels can vary based on individual health, diet, and other lifestyle factors. Incorporating onions into a balanced diet can be beneficial, but they should not be relied upon as a sole solution for boosting testosterone. For significant and sustained effects on testosterone levels, a comprehensive approach involving diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management is essential

Nature wants to get rid of you by age 35-40 via the lowering of compound availability- melatonin, NAD, nitric oxide, hyaluronic acid, betaine HCI, collagen, glycine, NAC, glutathione and lord knows what else - just because you have your “diet dialed in” does not mean that this deregulation will stop - you have to supplement more broadly in order to account for these deficiencies.

Hello, first of all I will just say that I very much regret that I did not have the knowledge that you provide here a few years ago. I used to have a lot of energy and high libido - I wanted to exercise, date girls and generally wanted to live. Unfortunately, at some point I started VERY exhausting and frequent training (often on an empty stomach) based mainly on intense running and a low-calorie diet. Add to that a lot of stress at work and my libido has completely disappeared for 4 years. At first I didn't know what was happening, I was desperately looking for a solution and I even started taking external testosterone, but it did absolutely nothing for me - I didn't feel ANY improvement. Today I know that my androgen receptors have suffered due to this chronic stress. My cortisol levels are still in the upper limits, or slightly above the norm. I feel tired all the time and I wanted to ask you, if I managed to lower my cortisol level, would there be a chance that my androgen receptors would regain their sensitivity? I will be very grateful to you for your answer. Regards
