I have an Original preWW2 Army Air Corps wool trench coat that I bought with a bunch of other WW 2 era jackets at a tag sale for $40 when I was 13. I’m 35 now and I have worn that trench coat every year for winter camping and it is hands down the warmest coat I’ve ever worn. It might weigh like 14lbs but it has literally saved my life a few times. I took the patches off but it still has the original brass buttons and is in surprisingly great shape for the age and abuse it’s taken. I’ve seen them on eBay for like $250-500, but I’ll never sell it
