Hi Elisabeth, I thrilled you found this tutorial helpful. I prefer a PVA book binders glue as it’s archivable, flexible and non yellowing. But you can always use glue of your choice. Hope that helps and have fun making these 🙌

@lucassiqueirahonorato7936 Any sort of rigid synthetic works fine. It’s the wire that holds the shape mostly. But if you can’t find firm felt you can always stiffen the inside with a 1:1 ratio of PVA glue and water to get the stability you desire. It will leave a residue ( white marks) but if you line the inside you’ll never notice it. The green fabric is silk but any sort of fabrics can be used. When making hats it’s all about “lightweight” as you don’t want the hat to be heavy so I would suggest, lightweight cottons, taffeta, silk, etc.

Hey lady! All wonderful suggestions. Thank you for sharing them. I’m thrilled that your able to take so much information from the video. That’s very important and your feed back is super important 💚💙. This door I ordered on Amazon. I painted over ( it was original red) but look for doll house doors….also, there are online dollhouse shops you can buy them from…better selection and tons of accessories to go with! I usually buy them from a company in Spain but there are some in England and the States too. As a hat maker, and I make my videos in my studio, behind me are my “models” that I photograph my work on. I was gifted the wooden hand, I used a scrap piece of poster board to make an arm, so Ms. Suzie could pose very pretty like 🤣. Yes, they do love shining things. Recently, I bought some shiny cords to use on my hats….now I can’t find it…I’ve looked everywhere. Even thought I was going crazy! Then I realized….ahhhh they must have stashed it away. Sure would like to know where….I really need that cord 🧚‍♂️✨🧚‍♂️ Glad you loved the tutorial. This one has so many possibilities 🦋 thanks again for the suggestions.

My hat model, I bought her online a few years ago…she’s made of foam… I Just covered her over with some pink twill. I really need to give her a proper name, don’t you think? There are so many to choose from but Ms. Suzie was the most affordable. I use Suzie to display my hat for my Etsy shop. If I find the link, I’ll send it…but start on Etsy, I believe there is a seller there too.

Hello Kerry! I didn’t mean to make you tear up but that fact that you did tells me how deep you cared about your little ones. He was/is the Prince of my heart ♥️ ….but I think you might have guessed that. Thank you for reminding me about the material list 🤦‍♂️. I’m working on a new video and completely forgot. I used: Craft grey board/ you can use a sturdy cardboard too White poster board 4 wooden skewers 4 beads Acrylic craft paint PVA glue Varies fabrics The bottom & top mattress are yellow kitchen sponges, the rectangular kind, I just cut the green part off. I based the measurements of the bed on these sponges. Hope that helps! Always lovely to hear from you. Sending you my best 😘
