It’s interesting to see productions of R and H’s Cinderella before Douglas Carter Beane wrote the one that got performed on Broadway and eventually by high schools and regional theaters because the additional R and H songs which weren’t originally written for Cinderella such as Loneliness of Evening seem to pop up in the oddest parts of show such as right in the middle of the ball

This beautiful song is not quite suitable for her voice, it been usually sung by a velvety soprano voice of a more operatic quality. A more mature voice as well, and the tempo is too slow...but it's still somewhat nice.

The school versions are okay but I guess practice makes them faster
