Great setup. I'd add pegs at the tarp corners to keep it flat.

Sure thing but it will have to wait until the Spring/Summer. But basically - leave the windows open (otherwise it will puff up with air and make it difficult to fold). For now just follow the set-up steps backwards. Best of luck!!!

Hi! I am going to the Coachella music festival solo and I am thinking of copying your set up. I would want to hangout in the space during the day before the music sets start. People have said their tents turn into saunas once the desert sun comes out. My question is: have you used this set up in the desert? If so, do you think it will be okay to spend time in during the day or do you think the inside of it will be too hot to be in during the day? It’ll be about 100+ degrees Fahrenheit during the day. Thank you for your videos. They are super helpful!🙏🩷

The closet I got to the dessert was August in Maine. It was sticky hot with all the humidity. I plugged in an air conditioner through the doggy door, but then again I had electricity. It was wonderfully cool. Any closed tent in the dessert sun is going to be a furnace. But I bet this one will be better than most. It is tall and vents at the very top (heat rises) and it has very large windows all around. But I bet it would be cooler with just the canopy and not with the tent, using the canopy for shade. But if you do put the tent up I suggest using a USB operated fan. Also I used a neck fan once when it was really hot and it kept me cool. Good luck!

Thanks for your demonstration but I could put up a 10 x 10 regular tent quicker than this this might be more durable but it seems like it takes a lot to put it up LOL or maybe I'm just lazy😊

I'm glad you asked. I have a video on me (65 at the time and 115 lbs) setting it up by myself. If you click on my name all my videos will come up and you'll find the one that shows you how to set it up. Is it easy? Yes and no. I can do it by myself but it does take a little strength to carry the canopy and to push the canopy up in place. You will note that in the video. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for sharing this video. I enjoyed watching it. Did you use a 6.4 easy tent to attach to 10x10 canopy? I have a 10x10 canopy and I thought I had to have a 10x10 easy tent to attach it???

Hello Chris. I can't imagine any amount of wind, excluding a tropical storm, picking my tent up. It could be the canopy wasn't an ABC Canopy which is much stronger than the ones EZ-UP sells. I also make sure I have long stakes to hold the canopy down and also use the ties if it will be windy. Sorry you had that experience.

I love this concept, however, I have had three EZ up tents, picked up and destroyed due to the wind. They are not cheap to replace.

Get one of those foil sheet cake pans to put under the grill. I'd also line the pan with heavy duty foil so I could easily remove the ash and start fresh, but I'm OCD, so there's that. Good demo.

Tell me something. Can the roof screen on the actual tent be closed? I can’t find any long enough looks at the tents roof. Early spring and fall can be pretty cold at night and also, I have asthma. I’m ok at night if I block all the screen area and run an air purifier

I won't be able to take a first hand look until the end of May. But as I recall it might be possible to make a cover that would be held up by velcro tape. The cover would be a square of about 1 1/2 feet square. I recall thinking if it was really cold I would do something like that. You would still want some outlet in case of condensation but that could be opening a small part of the window cover. Contact me in May so I can remember to take a look and get back to you.

I sure appreciate you posting this. I was wondering if one could put one of these up when alone. I'd say that the first thing after a person sets it up is they want to sit down. It's a great tent but not cheap

LOL The captions were funny. "Don't Call" 😄 It's not boring, it's real time & I can appreciate. No edits = truth. Even the fact that you left the front on the side. Real stuff that happens to real people.

Great ideas and thanks for the advise. One other issue about the awning is that it is very difficult to setup, is heavy and is always slipping. I would prefer to do any with it altogether and just use the awning fabric which has velcro that attaches to the tent and tent poles and ties.
@dontworrydehappy7104
@dontworrydehappy7104 Жыл бұрын
Hi! Great tent and great video! For your awning - 1. Try drilling a hole half way on each side bar, then attach a bungee cord between the bars to give more support hopefully keep t he material from sagging and filling up. 2. Another idea for the awning if needed - obtain a replacement sidewall panel in whatever color you like. Use velcro strips (they can come self adhesive, but you might need to sew them in) to attach the replacement panel to the inside edge of the canopy top. After that, either use stakes and guy lines to pull the panel away from the front and create a small shelter from the elements OR use tent poles and guy lines to prop the panel up like a regular tent shade. I should have mentioned that you'd do best to select a replacement panel that has grommets, or install some yourself. Grommets make tying to guy lines easier. Lol. ...or I'm sure somebody has already mentioned just lowering one side of the awning or using pool noodles. But why be simple when one can over engineer the heck out of it like I do! Lol. Good luck! 👍

Suggestions from a camping veteran....you don't need all these luxuries esp the clock and furry mat ...anyway the sides need guy ropes 2 per corner with long steel pegs or it will fly, the awning will sag in rain so drop on side slightly lower and put a bucket underneath otherwise you'll flood your tent... the porta loo needs its own ensuite tent, they smell, leak and a mess to clean up much healthier elsewhere, you need a wash station ... not waterproof so pack gumboots, plastic bags & an umbrella...great for day picnics not camping

Okay... so it's been some time... Do you still like your set up with your tent etc... Is there anything you'd change...
