Hi! I came to this channel for the Daria and Prejudice video, and I'm gonna' hang out on this channel a while for the Black femme takes. I'm not threatened by people having similar characteristic or interests as me, but I think it's impossible that there's anyone else who's just like me. I'm curious if you're right, though. It seems impossible, but I hope you're right.

@14:56 I noticed that you said you arent anti plastic surgery. Im a bit confused since you pointed out the racist origins behind some of these procedures. Could you expand on why you still take this stance? I just find it interesting

These kids demonstration of maturity in conversation are more than a lot of adults show. Kudos to the writers for modeling how adults should be acting today

It seriously astounds me that this show almost wasn’t green lit because Fox thought that The Belchers loved eachother too much 🥲

I like how this episode addresses white privilege by demonstrating it so realistically, even if the show us actually a satire.

I absolutely hate Tina and Jimmy Jr. “relationship.” I want the writers to give up whatever they’re trying to do at this point, and just rewrite their whole dynamic all together. Tina is my absolute favorite character of all times, so It aggravates me when you watch all the episodes and It’s so obvious they’re underwriting her character, and only her character. Especially in the later seasons. Tina’s character nowadays feels like a subplot for other’s character development. She’s barely ever there now and has almost no episode dedicated to just her as a person. Especially one where there’s no mention of Jimmy Jr. or at least another awful boy doing her wrong.

Sam from Chelsea's party should be Tina's new love interest/potential boyfriend.

Well thought out presentation, with Daria's help of course. I have been around of more years than I care to acknowledge and have come to similar conclusions. Using today "expression" de Jour, beauty "moves the goalposts" with an unmatched yearly consistency. Incidentally, regarding BBL, from my average guy's perspective, the BBL is absolutely hideous. That is all I will say on that subject save for the word "yuck."

Daria tends to be selfish with Jane and it's understandable. Daria can't bring herself to be "regular" and not let everything bug her. It's not like she doesn't understand that Brittany is entitled to be a bimbo is she chooses. It's not like she doesn't get turned on by boys. It's not like she doesn't appreciate Jane excelling at a sport. She is just artificially misanthropic.

When I was a kid my parents divorced my sister took it worse then I was because I was a little to young to remember but my dad was trying to make a family dinner with my mom and their spouses it didn’t end up going well. So I 100% understand what this episode means and is recognizing.

This was actually the first episode of Daria I've seen. I was on vacation in a hotel with my Mom and somehow wound up on MTV. The rest is history! I've enjoyed it ever since; the movies were great too. You really dig into the show and that's awesome. I would love for Daria would be rebooted, but it wouldn't survive in this society today. It would be quick to be canceled, because it's too real.

I don't know why Quinn is so naive of wanting a surgrery on her face since there's nothing wrong with her in the first place and I can't believe she still refuse to listen to Daria's reasonning until she finally change her mind after hearing the news about Brooke from Stacy and Tiffany. Although I wonder why Stacy and Tiffany were holding their nose while telling Quinn while rush over and tell her that Brooke's nose caved. Also why Sandi isn't with them in the scene too??

Brittany is not an "academic" but I love how 'Daria' showed that even people we might perceive as dumb can have more nuance to them, and even have an existential moment, in their own way. 😂
