Rachel, I am switching and updating my motors for my Halloween display. The question I have is the small wire that you use to connect the female adapter to the the wiper motor during testing. They look very useful and a time saver while figuring everything out but they are not on your parts list. Is that something you made or is it something I can purchase? Thank you, Tom

OMG, so a million thank you Rachel, been doing C++ programming and no one be able to explain clearly the difference between unsigned long and long and what unsigned variable is for. You explained it with sample to make it more clearer. Wow the servo moves so smoothly. I never get to move it so smoothly always there is some interruption. Your code is short, not winding and very simple to understand. Thank you so much for doing this tutorial.

Why not power it with arduino if it is supposed to work with 5V?

Hey Mrs. De Barros! I’m a teenager in high school and I’m wanting to learn code for making props like predators plasma caster or something. I’m wondering what kind of code that is? Where did u learn to code? I’ve been trying to learn C code but I haven’t found anything on controlling motors, or lights, or audio. I absolutely love the content so keep doing u, u rock, deuces 🤘

Hola cómo estás, te felicito por tu proyecto, sino te molesta este comentario, te conviene usar const int para declarar los pines así no ocupas espacio en la memoria saludos.

You'd get rid of the delay function and replace with millis() to make it fast without interrupts. 😊

As I watched this video, I thought to myself, I know this person from somewhere, but from where? So I googled and OF COURSE, it was All Girls Garage! I'm a car guy too. I don't know how a marketing person gets into Arduino code, but I'm really glad you did because you explained it in a way I can understand. What I'm doing is simple and you explained very nicely how to do it simply. Thank you for this.

Excellent video, so glad I found this. I tried to use a wiper motor last year but got frustrated and gave up, glad I am getting a head start this year. this video is going to help get me there.

Is there a limit to the length of the strip that can be controlled by a single Arduino? Can i circle my whole house with a single strip controlled by one device?

Thankyou darling: this the first time I've heard about Timer1. Many examples call to timer1 when there's no evidence where it came from. Obviously, it was in the library file, but I didn't know why everyone uses TimerOne the file name, but the code is calling Timer1. It must be imbedded in the library, but it wasn't obvious to me. First I heard about 3 timers also.

I have learned so much from this one video that will be useful for all kinds of projects. I can imagine limit switches that would be inputs to the Arduino so as the “spider” reaches an extreme, the switch tells the Arduino to do something like, stop or set a variable, or reverse. Thank you!

Fantastic video, very well explained. I love the way you teach by doing the things along. Next level = include interruption for a certain period of time with a trigger within a function while permitting other tasks to continue, then resume the interrupted task.

You seem really knowledgeable about this stuff maybe you can help me with a project that I'm trying to figure out. I'm trying to set up a display where three witches perform the scene from Macbeth. Each witch would need to speak her lines in turn and then all three of them speaking the communal lines. I know I will need servo motors for the jaw movement and head movement but how do I sync everything together in a performance?

As a complete noob to Arduino, I was able to get this project working pretty easily. Thank you for the clear plans and directions. I would love to install this in a prop I made but as it is using a breadboard it has very loose connections and the wiring is a mess. Could you make a video on how to make this for a more permanant install maybe using a nano or othe rmeans to be able to solder it together and make it more compact?

I appreciate ALL of your work. I am watching and learning from each video. Thank You. If you take suggestions: 1. How to sum colors represented from camera image and then allow most prevalent color to dictate LED strip color. 2. Allow IR remote to toggle LED color or change variable value in program code. A simple toggle is enough - do not need to decipher actual key codes...
