I did notice on other videos that people have trouble turning the engine off . Now in your video you have your engine turn off like a regular gasoline engine .What is your shut down method, Thanks !!

That is crazy because my device just quit communicating too. I wanted to reboot the device but the battery is soldered onto the PCB. What ended up fixing mine was to install a new SIM card. I use Google Fi and was able to order a data only SIM for free. My best guess is the SIM that comes with the bike is a 1 year trial SIM. I removed the 6 small screws to open it up but you could also peel off the gloss black sticker to get to the SIM door.

I have the same kit with 4 BDGR s. I don't like the charger that came with my kit. It is adjustable to 58.8V and was not set right when I received it. I had to manualy set the charger and cant get it better than 49.8V. The adjustment knob is way to sensitive. There's a reason Big Battery put the warning sticker about overcharging batteries. Also, my 4 batteries take almost 8 hrs to fully charge. Charger aside, the batteries gave my cart decent range. Im considering installing an AC motor and kit for even further range.

Which is cheaper to drive?
@bluetrepidation
@bluetrepidation 2 жыл бұрын
No one answer to that question. Totally dependent on the environment the car is operated in (route, temperature, driving habits) and ever changing gas prices. In general they are the same cost to drive. I can cheat because I do have solar panels here where I charge my Tesla so "free" gas in the summer. In winter I only get enough to power the house itself. I did do some math on my route to work and if gas was at $1.20 a gal or less then the Tesla would be MORE expensive to drive vs the Prius.

im in the process of designing a solar system for my house. i have to choose between GoodWe, ABB, Delta inverters. based on your experience, would you recommend this ? the model my solar installer has suggested i beleive is the updated model of this, its the ABB UNO-DM-5.0-TL-PLUS-Q
@bluetrepidation
@bluetrepidation 3 жыл бұрын
Yes that is the newer model. Looks like they crammed the solar disconnect switch into the base of the main unit and added solar connectors. This makes the unit smaller and easier to install. This ABB product line was sold to FIMER group and is no longer supported by ABB. You'll find better information on their website. As with everything modern the only thing I can complain about it the ABB "Plant Viewer" software. On Android it crashes all the time and hasn't been patched. Also I haven't figured out a way to use a 3rd party app to grab data from the inverter. So if you care about logging maybe using another brand would be better. You're kinda stuck in their eco system. The web based viewer works fine tho and you can export a csv file manually. Hardware wise it should last forever and is efficient.
