I have the same color in my 2021 Premium. I also traded in my 2013 Escape for this car. I always wanted one, so I had to get it. I love this car, it's a lot of fun to drive, and it's definitely a head turner!

I have the exact car. I’m surprised you get such low miles. I have been getting routinely 330-335 per 100%. Maybe the climate. I never drive faster than 60 and keep charge between 30-85 % .I love the car and wish you many more driving miles
@evandtechlife6 күн бұрын
That is great to hear. But I have the Premium 71 kWh battery so my top range is at 235 maybe 245 on a good day at 100% But I usually do not see that since I charge only to 85% which has been estimating 195 miles of range. My drive to work rarely goes over 60 mph but I do love my ride! Best wishes to you with your Mach-E

I really like the Mach E, but I wound up getting a Subaru this year. I wouldn't qualify for the ev credits, would need to install the home charger, and electricity costs are high in my area. In your case, you drive a lot of miles, and it sounds like the savings makes sense. I do see some screaming good deals on used Mach Es with low miles which might make more sense for some people over buying new.

I am not leasing my car. But yes, the EV cars do depreciate in value the longer you have them. But I usually own my vehicles for a while so when it comes to trading them in, I never saw a whole lot for trade in value. Thanks for your response.

What I'm feeling is EVs make sense for home owners. Anyone that lives in an apartment ... might not work out well for them
@shacrushataylor521521 күн бұрын
I agree, but then again if you own a Tesla in America, then there are a variety of chargers. That said it’s still a bit of a hassle in relative terms to a ICE vehicle.
@evandtechlife20 күн бұрын
It can be done, but home charging is the best method and a cheaper method way of charging. Hopefully down the road, there will be more and newer apartment buildings will have charging stations by the parking spaces for the teniants.

@@evandtechlife I have an itch to start a mobile charging business. I have a feeling that mobile charging trucks that strategically hang out on certain streets, parking lots, might be way better than stations or trying to break ground in a parking lot. Doesn't sound really like the EV was the thing you liked, you just liked the features. Nearly every feature the EV has there are combustion cars that have it too. Really the main changes for EVs are just instant torque, ability to charge at home at the cost of reduced range, and they tend to be heavier (though that's barely relevant). A great example is every single Toyota this year has lane tracing on highways and it doesn't even cost anything. It's not a one time purchase or subscription, it's just on every single Toyota. There are plenty of cars with blind spot sensors and the blind spot cameras came to Hyundai's ICE long before EVs. Nearly every top spec car now has the 360 camera for parking with even my sister's mid spec Camry. Really the only thing I seem to only see on EVs right now is the full glass roofing. Though at the same time none of those actually open like normal sun roofs do. In general though it really sounds more like you're impressed with the flashy tech rather than the actual dynamics. Of course you'll find ICE vehicles with next to no features, but so were the early Nissan Leaf's and Bolts. Hell Tesla only recently added blind spot cameras to the software.

One thing I don't get is why so many cars are trying to be super fast anymore. Slower cars can get along just fine. I daily drive several cars, V6 Nissan Frontier, V8 Cadillac Deville, i4 hybrid Ford Maverick, and an i3 Mitsubishi Mirage. I prefer the Mitsubishi out of them. It is the least powerful, having 78 HP, a 0-60 of about 14 seconds, but never has been an issue. I don't feel any better in the Cadillac, if anything less comfortable, as if I need to floor it, the Cadillac moves super fast in a small amount of time and end up going faster than expected.
