You must lube your Orings with refrigerant oil otherwise they will grab and damage the Oring and that will come back and bite in the long term, also the A/C drags heat out of the vehicle so regardless the whole vehicle will cool down the people in the back do not need cool air blowing on them to cool down, An ac or fridge or anything like that removes heat though the evaporator and the condenser they do not put cool air in as such if you understand what I mean, but great job guys in any case well done from down under A/c Tech of 30 years.

The 009 is the joke of the vw universe. Don't think so ? Even Chevy 350s have a vacuum advance. All electronic programmable ignition have a programmable vacuum advance. Sooo... what is the 009 for ? Stationary generation engines ... Why would anybody put the distributor from a stationary engine ?? Who knows ?

Ok, full update. Bought them from Bus Depot. Quick delivery. Good price. Super easy install. Little strange getting used to the convex mirror design. Kind of makes me a little dizzy as I back up. Also, I think you mentioned this and the stabilization needs work on this design. They rattle and vibrate pretty good. I haven’t even been on any rough roads yet. But it’s a solid upgrade from stock. I probably should have went truck style but for now I can see. Thanks again for your content!
@Time.Space.Heal.Ай бұрын
On the fence between these and the truck mirrors. These are definitely cheaper and easier to install…I just need to jump!

Been a long time, but if you're talking about the little washer things that go through the vent window, you could take a bit of sand paper or an abrasive cloth to the sides of the washer to get it to fit. Just be careful to not take off too much material or it might leak.

Bro, can you please send the AAC instructions, I have lost mine
@gottasplit57079 ай бұрын
unfortunately I don't have my instruction paperwork anymore. If I remember correctly the sending wire just goes to the negative side of the coil, the positive goes to a fuse on the fuse box just for power, the power for the light goes to a piggyback connector on any other gauge bulb, and the grounds all get connected to any ground screw. there might be a forum or somewhere online to get the original instructions though. any other aftermarket gauge instructions should also work.

Howdy mate, praying you see this comment and can provide some real life insight: would you use POR15 again if you were redoing it? I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone paint their floor in it, but I really love the idea. Did you read/see others doing it? How’d it hold up? I’m basically trying to find a way to rust proof my already rust free vanagon before laying down insulation etc. Any detailed insight would be so incredibly helpful. Cheers from Australia!
@gottasplit570711 ай бұрын
It has held up really well so far, but I do have flooring over it. POR is supposed to be put directly on metal, so I'm not sure if is the best choice for the job. I did it that way because I had used it in my split bus and it had worked great there. If I had to do this again, I would probably use some sort of bed liner like Raptor Liner or something. That would provide better protection from scuffs and a bit of noise insulation. If you do have any rust spots though, POR is amazing for encapsulating it.
@fraser_jones11 ай бұрын
@@gottasplit5707 thanks so much for the insight-I’m super grateful. I was considering Raptor, but I have to be reaaaaally sure there’s no rust under there before I spray it over the top! Thanks for your time man, hope to see more content soon 🙏🏼
