Ok, full update. Bought them from Bus Depot. Quick delivery. Good price. Super easy install. Little strange getting used to the convex mirror design. Kind of makes me a little dizzy as I back up. Also, I think you mentioned this and the stabilization needs work on this design. They rattle and vibrate pretty good. I haven’t even been on any rough roads yet. But it’s a solid upgrade from stock. I probably should have went truck style but for now I can see. Thanks again for your content!

I originally wanted the truck mirrors, just couldn't get myself to drill more holes in the door lol. I do like the truck mirror look though.

I’m not worried about the drilling, I’m most concerned about $300 for some plastic and metal poles…lol

Thanks! Finally was able to do a video with the van drivable at the end lol! I was actually going to take the van on the highway yesterday to finish up the video… but the starter died and fried the wire going to the battery too. I guess I’ll be making that new starter video sooner than I thought. Decided to just end the video here. I have taken it on the highway with the mirrors though, and they are really good. My only real problem with the stock ones is that mine were in bad shape. These are a bit larger, farther away from the car, and convex, so they are a little better. The stock ones will do just fine if they are in good condition though.

Thanks! I'm not sure about an adapter for a bay window. Anything is possible with the right machine shop I'm sure, but I haven't seen any available to buy.

I used bicycle carbon grease (it has grit in it) to keep mine in place for a long time. Did this upgrade 2 days ago and it's a life changer. Not only are they staying where I want them, but you also get a wider field of vision.

These mirrors do take some getting used to. You can see much wider, but yes, things are definitely closer than they appear. It doesn’t have that warning on the mirror though.

Ok thanks for the reply. My passenger mirror keeps moving. I’ve put up with for years. Definitely going to do this upgrade.

Thank You!!! These mirrors don’t fold, or at least the ones I bought don’t. I’m not too sure if another company makes ones that do fold. It would be a nice feature to have though, especially in the city.

@@gottasplit5707 thanks for the response! Damn, I woulde have ordered nthem in a minute. Knowing this now I wound hesitate to install these. I'm picturing getting them banged, bike rider, other vehicle or a fixed item such as a post or the mechanic lift. Just picturing the damage if they got a good wack, ouch. Those bolts getting ripped out if the channel and the door panel damage. 🤔😳

@@simonheath2868 Oh wow, I wonder if they are from the same company that made mine. The ones I got from Amazon said that they did not fold, but now I'm wondering if that listing wasn't right. I know they can be bent back and forth though... haven't tried pulling them in on purpose though lol.

Raven M. I haven’t had any problems with them. Of course I was used to the original ones that didn’t even stay adjusted passed 30mph. I’m sure they aren’t as stable as the truck mirrors since those are secured top and bottom, but these work pretty well. I’d say they are as, if not more, stable than a new set of original ones, but they do sometimes vibrate a little bit.

I ended up using a pair of the motorized vanagon mirrors without hooking up the wires. They seem to work great and they stay put. Not using the remote controls doesn’t seem to be a problem. Sorry for the late response. I’ve been busy on “Bones”.

Agreed, but with this van it's all about function over form.
