Are all of the rivets on the exterior countersunk for best aerodynamics and those on the interior left proud to save time and effort? That would make intuitive sense, but couldn’t tell for sure from the wide angle. Are any exterior rivets left rounded? Thanks and please keep the videos coming!

I patched a busted wingtip at the show last year. The pilot was taxiing and hit a nearby airplane. Ended up putting about an 8-in hole in the tip. Fortunately Rutan Aircraft Flying Experience (RAFE) were demonstrating fiberglass construction. We were able to use materials on hand and get him back in the air in about a day and a half. Very rewarding experience.

If you have hearing sensitivity, bring hearing protection. I hear ear buds do a great job for that. Using earmuffs for the range are bulky and got in the way.

I am using South Florida Sport Aviation for my interior. We have the interior, but have only installed the glareshield so far. When Eliane says she will work with you on color/design schemes, talk or FaceTime with you for installation help, that is true. I've contacted her numerous times and she is always very helpful. Other times, she has put Luiz on the phone to help with questions about the build as it relates to how the interior will go in later. Very happy with SFSA so far!

How long does it take to get an interior kit from Approval to shipment? Seems like lead time did a big thing with a lot of vendors still these days.

I just talked with Eliane and she says after the final approval of the previews it takes 4-6 months to receive everything. If anyone is reading this after July 2024, you should call Eliane to confirm the current lead time.

There’s the Van’s Air Force forums and some different Van’s Aircraft and RV-10 groups on Facebook with lots of opinions on the different avionics for VFR or IFR panels. I’ll have a video out later going over all the Garmin products we’re installing on our panel.

Hey! The RV-10 tool kit on Cleaveland Tools is a great place to start. We started with that and have added other things as needed (or wanted, to make certain tasks easier/faster). You’ll also need a band saw to cut some of the necessary aluminum parts. A drill press would also be a great idea. Hope that helps!

Plumbing PVC pie sizes are internal. Electrical PVC Conduit is the EXternal dimension :-)

What a nasty inappropriate Mess.....Worst leak prone possible design.....Use Real pre-tested all Metal aircraft fuel tanks well Isolated from wing vibrations & dimensional Stress....Don't use aircraft fuel Tanks for Structural members.....

So whats the difference between the CB windows and stock Vans windows? Are they bluged out more ...or...??? What are you going to use to bond the windows to the cabin with. We couldn't get what vans calls for i. Cali. Then they told us use weld on 40. Dont order that as it is for bonding acrylic to acrylic.
