The plane wings really take shape as we add the top skins to both. I use a power tool that I never thought I'd use on the aluminum skins and we become very aware of just how many rivets go into the top wing skins of our airplane.

Christine, doesn't beveling the edge of that panel to go under the next one make that part more brittle and prone to cracking?

I think the tempering of the aluminum is what affects how brittle it is, but I might be mistaken. Either way this step was specifically in the instructions from Van’s (16-2: Step 5)

Is there a website to help with avionics.. im researching before i decide on the rv10. And new to all of this . I dont see a recommended list of things needed on the vans site.

There’s the Van’s Air Force forums and some different Van’s Aircraft and RV-10 groups on Facebook with lots of opinions on the different avionics for VFR or IFR panels. I’ll have a video out later going over all the Garmin products we’re installing on our panel.
