Don’t forget to hit the sand before you drive the club through the ball; he is implying it and does it, but he never says it. Also, some pros suggest sinking your feet into the sand a bit before the shot to help you hit the sand first.

I had the same comparison. Callaway little to the right. Wilson was straight or left. I think the feel of the wilson is better, but Callaway is better on mishits

Which dispersion ring wasn't which?? You gotta do some editing in post, you showed me two dispersion circles one white, and one orange and then put 730! on the screen in white text. No reference to which circle was affiliated with which club.

Great review, but i seem to be coming to a different conclusion from these results--- it looks to me like the Ping club was the clear winner of the two in consistent distance control. The offline business could come down to shaft, or the fact that the Ping is stronger lofted (basically hitting one club stronger, in comparison). Either way, distance control with an iron is a game-changer for most people, although it's not talked about nearly as much as spin is. Having a rocket launcher that gets consistent results all across the face is some seriouis tech. Just my humble opinion.

I do play the P 790. And if I hit them well the ball really flies well. Not sure if we average golfer really feel a difference between the two brands , unless the lift is different. There are plenty of really good golf clubs on the market available. 😊😊😊

Thx.. I’m a fairly new golfer and found this to be a much clearer explanation and definition of what the term RELEASE really means in the golf swing.. I’ve watched many videos where the term is used but instructors seem to assume we know what it actually means during the downswing .. very helpful

Hi. Perfect video for me as I’m looking to buy my first set of clubs. Loved the comparison as these two are on my watch list. I’m pretty much set on Ping as my son has the G425 set and I use them and have had great success with them. My question only is in my area the I 530 are about 800 dollars more for a i530 set compared to the g430. Would you say the i530 are worth the extra money spent? Thankyou
@Golfzilla5000
@Golfzilla5000 Ай бұрын
it is fascinating on how to interpret the dispersion --- the Ping seems to have a wider horizontal dispersion, while the P790 seems to have a larger vertical dispersion. If you've got trouble in front of or behind the hole, then the Ping is the proper club. But if the trouble is to the sides, then the P790 is the club. In my experience, usually the danger is either right in front of you or if you go too long. Of course there's always going to be exceptions, but usually it's problematic if you're long or short more so than left or right (on approach shots, which is where the irons will shine or not). It'll be Ping for me. I currently play Ping's iBlades, but the next set i get will definitely be looking at these i530's very closely. And i need some help with distance now that i'm in my 50's 😀

You are right, the role of the trail arm cannot be emphasized too much. If you set up correctly you have good chances to get it right throughout the whole swing.
