2:46 there is no „feel free to equip yours“. The loadout is set. Your not allowed or customize them in combat patrol. Every unit/model is equipped as in the data sheds in the app / the data cards.

@@meinfreundfranz you are 💯 correct. The unit of PCS must be equipped as outlined in the Unit breakdown and the index for Combat Patrol Black Templars. The load out with the heavy bolt pistols and chainswords works for 1k -3k points games. I appreciate you taking the time to clarify for myself and others new to the game. The goal of the channel is to make it easier to play 40k, and your comment is a tremendous help. 😊

you should put more effort in showing lists (so we can read, check points, talk about units what your goal is etc etc.), maybe also summarize rounds and give interviews and talk about your plans for the next rund. Also in the intro, maybe show the models (and painting).. I think the initial effort is required to keep me (and others?) interested stay watching

I appreciate your feedback. Our battle reports are Live broadcasts. A lot of the stuff you mentioned is usually added during the video editing process. I do like the idea of showing lists though. We are always working to improve and I like the idea of adding that. Thanks for the ideas and for sharing the stuff you are looking for.

Just for future reference, in Strike Team Solarien you can only attach the Librarian to Infiltrator marines. Giantslayer strategem might've helped to level the playing field between the Suppressors and the Psychophage too, but it looks like a mean unit to try and take down regardless. I'd love to see more gameplay of Solarien in the future! There isn't much I've found on youtube so far and it feels like a list that might take some getting used to in order to pilot well.

I picked up the patrol list myself and I still need to work on getting it all together, but I've just been looking around for the moment trying to see how they play on the tabletop. The Suppressors and the Infiltrators have access to the Smokescreen core strategem I believe, due to having the Smoke keyword, so it seems like they might have to lean on it for more survivability in games against enemy shooting.

More than even with regular 40k, the redemptor is a brute in combat patrol because so few combat patrols have decent antitank capabilities, especially at range. Even the handful that do, like the Dark Zealots (missile launcher and lascannon) or Coven Temporus (Hellfyre rack) will struggle to do more than plink off 3-6 wounds with concentrated fire, and many patrols have no meaningful antitank beyond a LETHAL HITS or ANTI-TANK stratagem on small arms fire.

Personally before I get hyped I’m more keen in seeing if spearhead actually gets played. The amount of hype gw is trying to make with spearhead is similar to that of the combat patrol. And we all know how combat patrol ended up. Now that doesn’t mean it’ll end up the same way, but I’m just currently not hyped for spearhead at all

This is a fair assessment. My hopes are high for Spearhead and AoS 4.0, but there is also a little skepticism. My hope is that GW learned from Combat Patrol and took measures to see that Spearhead will be more fluid and fun.

That's a great combo. Also running Hellblasters with a Lieutenant gives them Lethal Hits + Fight on Death. Very effective.

I built this combat patrol, managed to get the lieutenant, suppressors and Infiltrators via the Imperium magazine so it worked out pretty cheaply for me tbh. Feels very much like a glass cannon; if the suppressors die in the first turn the game is over for you except for the screaming but the librarian can put in WORK if you use him correctly. Also important to remember for the Suppressors: they have the smoke keyword and they *need* to be smoked if your opponent manages to blindside them, they're our best carry but they can die in the blink of an eye.

The two artilery units must be equipped as laid out in the Combat Patrol rules in order to be used specifically in Combat Patrol Games. However for larger 2k games, you would be able to build them how you like.

I got this combat patrol a few months ago the back and my aggressors had more options for load out as well as making the incursion squad as infiltrators. And the impulsor had a few load out option too.
