I'm planning to make my own Cities of Sigmar Spearhead using some equal old fantasy models I have. I just need a couple of generic knights and body of cannon (I already have a dwarf crew for it too).

Personally before I get hyped I’m more keen in seeing if spearhead actually gets played. The amount of hype gw is trying to make with spearhead is similar to that of the combat patrol. And we all know how combat patrol ended up. Now that doesn’t mean it’ll end up the same way, but I’m just currently not hyped for spearhead at all

This is a fair assessment. My hopes are high for Spearhead and AoS 4.0, but there is also a little skepticism. My hope is that GW learned from Combat Patrol and took measures to see that Spearhead will be more fluid and fun.

My question is how the heck are two Spearhead/Vanguard boxes and terrain going to fit on a Warcry board?

That's a great question, looks like the board size will be smaller than a Combat Patrol Board. So, same as Kill Team, or one single board? That's going to be interesting.

It'll be interesting to see how the retreat mechanism works in the game. D3 mortal wounds... Might be better to just stay in the fight.
