Not sure what you meant by “threatened” but they also make the combat version now too. I’d recommend just getting that. IMO, Adaptor plates are unsightly and raise the profile of the gun too much. But that’s just my opinion, cheers!

@KatoCoyoteCombatWorkshop4 жыл бұрын
I just ordered these for my 92X Compact. Really eager to put them on, I also really like the XRAY sights on my P320 but that orange dot is borderline fiber optic levels of bright. And the way the slide angles towards the sights makes aiming so much easier than on the Sigs for me.
@davidlaws61192 жыл бұрын
Did you ever get these installed on your 92x? Blogs I've read mention that poi/poa change after installation which need alterations to get back on target. Really hoping you had good luck because I am in need of better sights?
@KatoCoyoteCombatWorkshop2 жыл бұрын
Mine were dead on, didn't have any trouble with them.
@schfiftyfive96804 жыл бұрын
I'm going to do this as well. Instead of JB welding, I am going to drill into the space filler from the outside of the slide and partially into the other side of the cutout channel and tap. Red loc-tite the threaded rods, cut off even with the outside of the slide, and re-finish. JB weld on guns is just shit gunsmithing which I don't know why you would do because you're obviously intelligent and have the skill.
@brandtheman924 жыл бұрын
schfifty five I can’t quite picture your description, I do agree the jb weld was a cheap cop out. I can say I wanted to avoid drilling/tapping any more holes than necessary to keep a clean look from the outside and ultimately not have to do any sort of refinishing. More than one way to skin a cat I suppose. 2 years later still going strong with no hiccups 🤘🏻 let me know how you make out with yours! 🍻

Was gonna buy this but strafe design is better and not plastic.
@brandtheman924 жыл бұрын
To each their own, in the end both are only as strong as what their mounted to. Since posting this video someone has backed into my car and ripped the splitter from the bumper. The splitter is still in perfect shape, the bumper however needs to be replaced. I would say the only negative of the strafe design is that at some point the powder coat is going to get a chip from a stone or some road debris, eventually flaking/peeling off portions of the powder coat as the bare aluminum underneath tries to form aluminum oxide. But again, to each their own

I didn't think slide modification were legal sounds like an ATF federal issue... My understanding is you must posses gunsmith ffl to do these modifications?
@brandtheman924 жыл бұрын
Simple answer for you is this, the slide isn’t a serialized part. Therefore not considered a firearm. Cheers

Are you saying that there is a screw that must be removed before removing the stock sight? If so, any idea what size that screw is?
@brandtheman924 жыл бұрын
Sky Pilot nope no screw, there’s just an integral “stub” of metal that’s on the front sight. It just acts as a kind of detent. And sits in that hole

@derekpierce18945 жыл бұрын
Anthony Buda rear sight is driftable for windage. But yes they are dovetail front and rear so they can be replaced with aftermarket sights. Beretta sells a target rear sight that is easily adjustable for windage and elevation.

@brandtheman925 жыл бұрын
Landon Wolf trust me lol, I felt the same way about the jb weld. Sure the screw would hold the block in place but with the remaining material on top being as thin as it was I didn’t want to take any chances of something going wrong. There wasn’t much else you could do to secure it in place other than the jb. I thought if tig welding the block but I didn’t want to heat soak anything without knowing what tolerances and wear spots should/would be. On a side note, I milled too deep, you could get away with a shallower channel
@jcspaz4l5 жыл бұрын
Glad I waited till the combat variant released. Also why didn't you just buy the combat slide. Side note on beretta awesome marketing. Makes rdo ready slide, makes threaded barrel. Doesnt have suppressor height sights. Gj beretta?

Jeremy Cole currently do not offer the combat slide alone, and I had bought the apx prior to their announcement that they were doing a combat model. Thankfully everything worked out well! It continues to be my edc. No hiccups or reliability issues *knocks on wood*

Hey, props to you for working in a interesting project. It takes quite a bit of intelligence and hard work to accomplish such a cool modification. Oh, and what's nice is that the gun is modular, so if you ruined that slide you could just buy another one to replace it, even though Beretta now offers a red dot optic ready slide. Thanks for the video.
@brandtheman926 жыл бұрын
Felipe O thanks man! Well currently beretta doesn’t sell the optic ready slides on their store. But I’m sure eventually they will! It was stressful to say the least but what kept me going was the thought that the final product would be worth it. And it’s been fantastic to say the least

Throwaway I have seen their plate. For my personal preferences the plate isn’t the route I wanted. Not only would you lose your rear sights, but also make the sight sit another 1/8” higher than the slide. Looks and performance is what I’m after. But for anyone who just wants to toss one on. Yeah of course the plate is the easiest.
@rotadyma6 жыл бұрын
This plate would be perfect if you were gonna run a suppressor.
@brandtheman926 жыл бұрын
rotadyma both this setup and the plate work with a suppressor. The plate will bring the reticle 1/8” higher than where it would be flush. Without the plate it still sits higher than the suppressor.
