Wise words from the lips of a man of wisdom. ( asantes are truly proud, and also full of lies ) they easily distort history and make it look like they are the origination of creation. Meanwhile they are the most lazy, treacherous and arrogant people in today’s Ghana, most of them! Their so called Asante state was given to then by a Ewe high Priest called Torgbui Tsala from Notsie. Due to twi language barrier they coined the name Okomfo aa wo fr3 Notsie ( the priest from Notsie) which they deliberately changed to Okomfo Anokye so as to distort history in their own favor once again 😂 at the very end they betrayed him just as Ifa warned the Torgbui initially. Till date Asantes call ewe men Efo ( big brother) yet they don’t know it’s a fact that the ewe tribe and kingdom is superior bother spiritually and physically to theirs . Their claim to fame was they have a golden stool , but they forgot that golden thrones with emerald stool , ivory Thrones with Devine flying Capet ( stools) existed in the ewe kingdom long before Asante was formed when Tsala the elder brother of Tsali visited them to help solve their problems of constant conflict!🤣😂😆😏

Asantes are proud of their glorious history. Unfortunately some people see this as a problem of "pride". All the other ethnic groups should be proud of their glorious history. The big difference is that, Asante is not one ethnic group, but rather, several groups which have come together as one Asanteman. No ethnic group in Ghana has been able to do this and so, Asante will always be on top. The other ethnic groups did not achieve Unity at the time Asante was working on Unity. The Asante leaders had a vision and foresight. Now Asantes are enjoying the fruits of their vision and labor: their Unity.

Which international airlines are scheduled to be coming to Kumasi? Those are the questions all of you should be concerned about. Right now, no intentional airlines are scheduled or have stated interest in flying to/from Kumasi. Ghana government cannot force any airline to fly to a location that the airline thinks they will not profit from. Remember when the British Airways wanted to change the London to Accra flight to somewhere else is London and the Ghanaian Government said NO! The same thing will happen here. I see this airport as a beautiful local airport. Local airport that may flight people to Nigeria or some west African country. The Kotoka International Airport type you people are looking for in Kumasi can only happen when the region starts to develop and the population starts to grow. The majority of Ashantis and everybody else have migrated to Accra. Accra, the smallest region in the country, holds most of Ghana's population. Until people start to migrate back to their region, what you people are looking for will never see the day of light. Some airlines will probably try this rout and when they realized it's a waste of money for them, they will stop coming and you people will continue to go to Accra.

So, for some of you Nigerians when you see some little progress in Ghana you begin to exhibit some disease I just don't know. Let Ghanaians worry about the viability of it's aviation industry but just because I feel nice today I'll educate you a little. Currently, as of 2023, Kumasi airport gets around a quarter of a million throughput annually. That is without this new terminal. Most of this throughput appears to be business professionals either going between to Kumasi and Accra, or tourists arriving from Accra choosing a quicker turn around than the 5-6 hour journey from Accra by road. The population of the Ashanti region is around 2 million - around half of Greater Accra right now. In the last 25 years this has doubled from a million (according to the last census 2020). All the governments in the last 10-15 years believe that investment in aviation infrastructure in the country would help drive more business and tourism and by extension create more jobs to all the three key hubs in the country (northern via Tamale, middle via Kumasi and southern belts via Kotoka). Kumasi and Ashanti has slowly become the cultural capital of Ghana because of it's ancient history and potential for business growth. You've seen that both governments have rebuilt and expanded the trading hubs of the region - markets places and now has the largest indoor markets in West Africa (Kejetia). This government is building and improving road infrastructure to key tourism sites in the region (KNUST, Manhyia palace, Lake Bosomtwe and Bonwire). It has now also opted to build an Airport City around this new terminal with it's prospects of business real estate growth as seen in Accra's Airport city over the last 25 years since it's inception in the 90s. There's a reason key football matches between Ghana and other opponents in Africa take place in Kumasi - such us the last against Nigeria). So, all in all, I just wanted to tell you that you prepare and create growth sometimes. You don't only wait for it. That's what we can conclude is happening here. The good news is that tourism receipts alone to the region and ghana as a whole is projected to at least double in the next decade. The idea is, with this projection, Kumasi will act as the second more affordable landing charges option for some airlines than Kotoka and continue to grow as the second largest by traffic because it's also in the south of Ghana really. Hope that helps you.

@@dan.S5050 You are not thinking. This is not about Nigeria. An airlines route has nothing to do with a business person from Kumasi. The airlines are in the business for money and nothing else. Do you know how much it cost an airline to operate per hour? Go ask your president Akufu Addo how much money he was wasting flying that private jet and you will understand why i'm telling you the international airlines will not come to Kumasi.

@@dan.S5050 Good! At least we got the part that you are not thinking correct. Just remember that no airline in this world will stop a country from building a bridges to nowhere. The economic value you are looking for is already being handed by the Takoradi port and the Tema port. Nothing of economic value will be port on plane out of Kumasi. I can guarantee you that with my one month salary. Go and research how landlocked country import and export goods. They use neighboring countries that have ports. All the minerals resources from the Ashanti region will be put on the train to the ports in Ghana. Why do you think Akufu Addo is building the railway lines in Ghana?

@@user-ek6gd5xq9e Bro, I know your lot just don't like to listen to others - always feel your right and want the last say. As I've said I work in the industry and have access to the data. Kumasi airport is very much part of the business case being made by this same government you talk of in revamp our railways. It's based on data that this new terminal is being done. And by the way it's not just for pax airlines that we build airports for it's also for MRO services, air freight and other business ops and prospects. The improvements to Kumasi airport is for the long term prospects, tourism and business opportunities Asanteman is looking for now and into the future. Stop with the nonsense talk and your little limited knowledge of what's actually going on in this region. You don't know better than the people of the region. We're not here to score points.
