I just learned abt the situation so I’ve spent the last 40 minutes or so learning abt it and seeing all the messages and history. I also have a lot of experience with internet feuds. Before I go on you should know I also grew up with gumball so I may be biased here aswell. Even such, it has to be said. I’ve reached my personal verdict and I think that BOTH sides are in the wrong. Nicholas was wrong to be saying those tweets and harassing Dream while not drunk. Dream was wrong to hold onto that video of a 19 year old, to use as blackmail. Both sides are pretty fucked up, both people have to be worked on. The Dream Stans also took this wayyyy too far by making fun of Nicholas’s dead dog. Yes that happened. The driver even came out and took Dreams side saying that Dream was the chill one and he was just trying to devolve the situation while Nick was drunk and stupid almost getting himself arrested. He also said Nick has to do some serious soul searching and see what’s truly making him that mad. He did also have a falling out with his mother around the same time he did all those stupid things, so maybe Nicks mother is the cause. TL;DR Nick needs to get therapy, everyone needs to calm down.

Being drunk doesn't give you a pass to do and say what you want. All it does is remove the filter your sober mind unconsciously puts up, meaning if he's racist, homophobic, antisemitic, and a general asshole when he's drunk, that just means he's covering that up while sober. Same thing with a manic episode: it's not an excuse, and especially not so months after the altercation started. Both of those are simply basic ways to try and justify his shitty behavior, and neither work on anyone mature enough to see through his BS. And no, genuinely this isn't me trying to be mean or attack you, like you asked I'm simply trying to inform and correct. If you take anything out of this comment, let it be to not act the way dream or junkyjanker did, and probably to stay clear of most of social media (save connecting with friends on it), there's mounds of evidence proving that it's simply not good for mental health
