Hi mate, In the video I do show you how to open it, just didn't film the undoing of the screws. Remove the screws, turn it face down and remove the face. That way everything doesn't fall everywhere

From a Live audio engineer - Lavelier mics are notoriously some of the most difficult mics for anyone to use, they are the bane of a lot of semi pro audio guys. you need a lot of training and understanding to use them properly, it aint a simple plug and play... to know proper RF would help you, but unless youre spending serious money on shure ones with a really good transmitter-reciever set then theres no point, youd have to hire one of us to use it for you. if you have more than one mic, good luck on avoiding phasing, if you arent using a high pass filter, a good EQ, and a nice amount of compression then you will REALLY struggle using Lavs. Like the dude below says, use a zoom recorder, i recommend the H5 with the X-Y capsule for stereo recording, either that or use a decent but cheap x-y condenser mic pair, can get the shure ones they put in their drum mic kit pretty cheap and i think for the price theyre quite decent. still need to learn how to use an EQ, how to gain stage, etc etc...... if you cant do it, please pay someone to do it for you or something, dont go to AI, youll waste your money and youll help the people trying to take our jobs with crappy AI, thanks dude :)

They are a pain to say the least!! I'm looking to just run and gun, though I feel I will go back to my zoom h1, I've got the h6 which I use to record my band and podcast. As for AI, that can do one!! Really appreciate this message especially from someone of your calibre! And the fact you took the time for a diddy channel like myself. I know who to go to now for when I'm recording my gigs!

no probs dude, if you use those h series recorders, they have XLR ins for extra mics, ive ran them with 2 condenser mics attached with an x-y bracket before. super easy to set up, just make sure your model can supply 48v phantom power

Ben. I have an issue with mine and I'm told by HB engineers it's normal so maybe you can tell me if yours is the same. Mine has a lot of noise, tons when one of the coils is turned down. I ended up shielding everything and now in humbucker mode there's zero noise, but when one volume is down there's that annoying noise again, so much that I hear it above the notes being played. They said this is normal hum, but I've had a single coiled Ibanez plugged into the same amp and no noise, I also own a Fender Strat and when it's switched to a single coil it's also quiet compared to this bass. Does your MB-4 have a very noticable noise when in single coil mode or is it about as quiet when in humbucker mode? It's bad enough I'm considering dropping a new pup into it. Other then that after I smoothed out the fret ends my bass plays and sounds really nice. Tks.

Hi @TheKingacevedo I really only play with the neck position. There's is the classic hum from a single coil, but nothing that causes any problems. I play with a lot of over drive and it's there but doesn't affect my tone or anything. The pickup is hot though, I found it too be really bloody high output

On the spotify app, there is an icon somewhere on the bottom, looks like a speaker, that's used to stream to different devices. Might be there.

After cleaning it with alcohol it's a lot better, but I realised there's another issue... it seems like the deadzone for left is wayyy higher than the others so when I'm playing it feels like its on 2 sensitivity but the rest are on 7... I'm really dreading taking it apart but i think i have to... but what would be a fix for this new problem... also thanks man for replying :) @planet__ben

@jakesimpson7272 not a problem, taking it apart isn't too bad, just be careful not to have it face up as it all falls apart. For the dead zones I don't really see a fix unless you have a program you could use. The dead zones are pretty bad on this controller

Thanks for the demo. I saw another KZfaq er say the colored bridge causes noise when running through a stage PA, as the ground is negated by the paint on the bridge.

@gilijustino thanks for you comment. Tbf I haven't had ant issue with any noise or grounding issues. I learnt the hard way once when modding a guitar by spraying my bridge. Took me ages to figure it out.

When taking mine apart I did notice they scratch up the bottom of the bridge to make better connection to the ground line under it (not really well done tho). It's a easy fix, just remove more paint where the line has contact.

I have to connect both of mine one by one of that makes sense one ear bud has a blue tooth option and so does the other so I can only get sound from one at a time is that normal

@Sofianzaman4658 I think it is an option to use one headphone. I find as soon as I remove one from the case it connects straight away and the second one connects straight after the first one. Sorry if this didn't answer or help you

Interesting video mate. Any tips on programing the amp without any external software. As being a digital expert or being computer proficient I am certainly not & I like the olde school Marshalls with a separate TC Electronics effect unit. I sort of like the way the VOX sounds but for live gigs the volume is inconsistent. That is to say it may go well or too loud or too soft volume when changing channels regardless of what the pre-set volumes are set to. This annoyance prevented it's use in live gigs. I'm in my 70's & hauling a Marshall TSL-100 with a 1860 4X12 half stack or 1936 2X12 bottom is wearing me down although coupled with a TC-electronics G-Major unit it is a consistent work horse. I have really nice sounding channels on the VOX VT100X but sadly the volume glitch is a no go for gigs. Prefer the VOX with built in effects at 45 pounds to a Marshall TSL100 set up at close to 200 pounds. Hope what I'm saying here makes sense as it's late in the wee early hours & the mind isn't at full cognizance. Thank you for sharing your post Planet Ben. All the best & stay well !!!

Thanks for the comment! I found with my VT100X the speaker was just awful. Swapping it with a Goodmans one (can't remember the model number) made the difference for me. Had a very consistent sound and level. As for programming it, you have all the dials on top as well as presets, you can get on fine with those, but the software is for the finer details. Have you looked at amp modellers? Kempers, quad cortex sort of thing. They are pricey but can get away with not having to haul amp heads and cabs. Let me know how you get on :)

@alltozdbl2711 with great difficulty. I did it by clipping the back into the front, frontside down, that way the buttons don't fall out and go everywhere

I have been having on and off problems with mental health over the years. The razor blade isn't my problem with it. I just think it looks stupid. It kinda reminds me of a kid i used to go to school with who would wear one because it was "edgy"

@noahkrause2835 I get that, apparently from an interview he had it made as shaving was like a calming thing for him when everything was too much. I feel they could have maybe tapered it a tad so it's not as bulky or Hollow out the middle so it looked real. Tis a funny thing really
