License plate holder on my NQI GTS is broke, can you explain how to change that part only please?

You mean the metal thing (consisting of two welded parts) where the license plate holder is attached, I assume. You can either replace the part completely. It is an official spare part. Or, as it is probably broken at the welds, you can drill two holes instead of the welds and fix the two individual parts with screws.

@@blameaux You need to remove rear panels as shown from minute 7. Theres no need to remove the battery compartment lid of the battery under your feet as shown earlier in the video. Use screw lock when installing the part, otherwise you will do the same procedure again in a couple of months.

Why does this not work on NIU nqi sport x version? We tried but it only goes to 40km/h so it goes slower like something is restricting it. But when we held in the front brake just a little it started doing 65km/h?

It should work fine on all NQi Sport with manufacturing date between 2018 and 2022 - using the correct firmware, of course... What is "NQi Sport x version"?

@@mobilize-switzerland we have a 2023 version with the bigger screen and battery. When we update foc with diagnostic tool it restricts the moped. And the top speed is slower at 40kmh instead of ~65 kmh

Hi. Thanks for your kind words and the input. Yes, we should do that... However, it's a very rare situation. Within four years and 200 NIU scooters we only had to replace those bearings on a front wheel once.

We have dozens of NQi Sport out there and have never had a problem with the dashboard. We once had a problem with electrical statics that resolved itself after 24 hours. And if the dashboard really has failed: it's very cheap.

Günstiger kann man keinen Speicher bauen. Das ganze noch so schalten das die Kapazität erhöht wird und mit 5 Akkus hat man 10kwh Speicher

Kommt in zukunft noch ein video dazu wie man die Scheibenbremse bzw die bremscheibe zu wechseln ist sowohl hinterrad als auch vorderrad ? Meine bremsscheibe vorne hat einen schlag und würde es gerne selbst tauschen, allerdings weis ich nicht worauf ich zu achten habe

Ist nicht vorgesehen, da sehr simpel. Du musst ja lediglich das Vorderrad abmontieren und mit einem Inbusschlüssel die 3 Schrauben lösen, die die Bremsscheibe fixieren (und mit denselben Schrauben die neue Bremsscheibe befestigen). Hast du Fragen dazu?

@@davidziegler7053 Den Bremssattel kannst du dranlassen, wenn du das Rad wegmachst vorne. Einfach was unter den Roller stellen, damit Rad bzw. Gabel oben bleibt. Rechte Bremse nicht mehr betätigen, wenn Rad weg. Schraube mit ca. 60 nm anziehen.

No. But you can use the original dimensions of the UQi GT's tires (rear: 100/80-14 / front: 90/90-14) and talk to tire pro. There is certainly some technical tolerance in dimensions.

Aber eine wirkliche sinnvollen Anwendung für so etwas mit einem Elektroroller? Bei der begrenzten Reichweite. Kaffee kann man auch unterwegs meist überall kaufen zu Zeiten wo man mit dem Roller unterwegs ist.

Das mit dem Kaffee war ein überspitztes Beispiel. Eher gedacht für Leute (z.B. Camper) die sonst EUR 2'000.- ausgeben für eine Power Station von Jackery oder Goal Zero.

Du meinst unter dem Sitz eines NQi Sport. Die anderen haben ja bereits einen zweiten, der angeschlossen ist. Nein, kannst du nicht. Du kannst ihn nur austauschen, wenn der andere leer ist. Theoretisch wäre es möglich, das technisch hinzukriegen. Mit viel Aufwand.

Hi Ivar. The principle should be the same. Just checked with an MQi GT Evo (that has not blinker malfunction, though). I assume you noticed that the warning light switch on the MQi GT is on the left switch unit? Otherwise: I don't know.

You mean the torque? 75 nm for the main nuts on the rear wheel and around 60 for the others at the rear and on the front wheel.

Das funktioniert für alle NQi GT mit 12-Zoll-Rädern. Auf keinen Fall für den GTS mit 14-Zoll-Rädern!!!

@@ungeimpfter460 Die FOC ist dieselbe. Der Schaden wäre nicht gross (weil wir inzwischen das Standard-FOC-File des GTS beschaffen konnten...). Aber es gibt leider wirklich kein "Tuning" des GTS auf der besprochenen Basis. Wir wären auch froh, gäbe es eines.

@@mobilize-switzerland Aaah sehr gut! Ja ich hätte sonst nur die Möglichkeit zum Händler zu gehen. FOC45 und 55 war ja jemand so nett und hat das zum Download bereit gestellt. Viele suchen sich ja sogar vergebens bei der FOC 70 und 80 ab. Fürn GTS wäre es schön aber du hast gerade meine Befürchtung bestätigt das NIU dazugelernt hat und es diesbezüglich leider nichts mehr gibt. Bleibt nur die Frage dann offen (finanziell lohnt sich das sowieso nicht aber aus Neugier) ob man einen FOC Controller vom NGT oder NQI GT einbauen kann und dieser dann im GTS läuft. Motor sollte ja bis auf die 2022er version gleich sein.

@@ungeimpfter460 NGT und NQi GT ist dasselbe. Der Motor-Controller ist derselbe und wird auch vom GTS (14-Zoll) verwendet (wie schon früher erwähnt). Nein, die der Motor 2022 ist ein völlig anderer! Nicht mehr Bosch, mehr Leistung und nun offiziell 80 km/h. Was du vorhast macht keinen Sinn, glaube ich.

Or pack the right charger for your batterys in a backpack.... Niu monitors the charging of when you charge your battery's, be careful not to void warrantys.

Yes, of course the backback is the first choice. But: What makes you think that the warranty should become void if an original NIU charger is used? The small charger is the one from the NQi Sport.

Du möchtest mit einem 45 km/h-Modell 80 fahren? Generell ist uns kein Update bekannt, das den MQi GT 45 ein paar km/h schneller macht. Aber es ist anzunehmen, dass dieselbe Motorsteuerung verbaut ist wie im MQi GT 70.

Grundsätzlich gut! Sogar günstiger 👍🏼. Wie lange dauert das Laden von 50% zu voll länger? Geht es den Akkus ggfls sogar besser mit dem langsameren laden?

Hey Ben. Es dauert einfach doppelt so lange wie mit dem originalen Schnellladegerät. Also von 50 auf 100% etwas 6 Stunden statt 3 (grob geschätzt). Den Akkupacks ist der tiefere Ladestrom vermutlich egal. NIU hat sowieso (aus unserer Sicht) überall Reserven eingebaut im Interesse der Akku-Langlebigkeit.

Dem Roller geht's sehr gut. Er ist 2-jährig, hat ca. 8'000 km auf dem Tacho und läuft wie geschmiert. Wenn man etwas Sorge trägt, ab und zu etwas reinigt (vor allem nach der Streusalz-Zeit des Winters) und die Dinger nicht permanent bei Wind und Wetter draussen stehen lässt, bleiben sie lange frisch. Wir haben bisher ca. 120 NIU im Umlauf. Probleme sind selten und - wenn es welche gibt - sind es in der Regel einzelne Schalter, die sich einfach ersetzen lassen. Keinen nennenswerten Probleme mit Kernkomponenten wie Akkupacks, Motoren und Motorsteuerungen. 👋

@@MARKUS4123 Du kannst uns schon kontaktieren, aber wozu? Der Händler, bei dem du den NIU kaufst ist dein Ansprechpartner. Und dahinter stehen der Importeur (vermutlich KSR) und natürlich NIU. MOBILIZE ist nichts anderes als ein Schweizer Händler mit einem etwas anderen Konzept.

Quick note. I have an MQi GT. I just did this (wish I'd seen the video, but I got it done, and the MQi is slightly more complicated for removing the under battery pan.) An important point I found out the hard way is that you may have four washers that go on the axle, and they need to go on the right way. There are four washers on mine. Two thick ones with a slot to fit the axle and a tab on them, and two more. The two regular round ones are not the same. One is thinner and one is thicker. The thicker one goes on the brake side. If you get them swapped, part of your brake caliper will rub on your rotor. It'll make a pretty awful grinding sound, and won't go away when you brake. The two regular washers go innermost. After that, it looks like he shows it in the video.
