Nick is one of the greats and has been since the start. A true visionary and dedicated to art in all its forms. And apparently a lovely bloke. I’d love to meet him.

I was gobsmacked at the way Nick took the opening sounds of Night Boat and slammed it into new music! I'd love to know how it was built, tracked, and recorded!;)

Amazing Rachael, the fact you seem SO unaware of DD's history/albums/songs over the past 40 years is just wonderfully cute!…And the fact that your beautiful voice is being justly rewarded with this amazing opportunity is conversely wonderful. Sending SO much love. 🤗

A man from Stoke bigging up lads from Brum is a big positive in my opinion, its a very colloquial observation but as a brummie lad Robbie has gone up in my eyes. I knew them from the early days in Brum and still know some of the original members today back in the south Birmingham days in Moseley and Kings Heath.

None of the Above has always been one of my favorite Duran Duran songs but I've never heard anyone from the band talk about it. Thank you for including this track in your conversation. You've created a special moment for me. Now if I can only hear the band talk about the song, Land.

They say they’re atheists then celebrate everything spiritually dark? Such a cliche in the rock/pop world. I’m a big fan of their pop productions but they’ve never been deep thinkers. Great for listening to when doing the house work, Spinaltap New Romantics.

I feel sorry for them. They need Jesus and hell is real and so is heaven. Four decades of convincing others to go to the dark side. That only tells me they are into the Devil. You believe in the dark side and and the devil but, remember God made the Devil. One can’t exist without the other.

I love Nick. He's soooo intelligent and not full of himself. I could listen to him talk and talk and talk. I'd love to meet him, but i think i'd be tongue-tied and feel stupid, and trust me, I've got confidence. Simon, too, is very underrated in his intelligence as a speaker.

I dont think 'confessions' holds a candle to 'palomino'.................musically, it seemed a tepid way to end an upbeat album. I hope it will grow on me. . I think the best covers on the album were Paint it black and psycho killer...becuz they were upbeat and driving. John Kearns seems to prefer the dreary minor-key side of duran duran and arcadia, as opposed to' the band you dance to when the world is ending'

The music on this album feels more like somber chords added to songs, rather than actually dark, gothic, Halloweeny vibes. It’s “nice”, with a few gems, but a very “safe” album, IMO. That said, Confessions in the Afterlife is their best new song since Valentine Stones from the 2015’s Paper Gods

Bravo for bringing up so much Arcadia. Actually I'm disappointed about the first tracks & the title track of DM, probably because of my Arcadia expectations - fulfilled by Confessions to the max.

Someone’s tell to Mr Rhodes .. that bad idea will forgettable quickly, it’s a shame !!…whole album is ruining theirs own original songs and the rest is anyhing less macabre or dark, I think Arcadia is much dark than this bullshit …hey Rhodes if you want learn do dark songs ask to Martin Gore

The arrogance of claiming someone else’s art is “unnecessary”, or that they “ruined” themselves 🙄

@@kcnak7610 This is DD's marmite album, you either like it or not. A lot of fans do feel strongly about it and how it really was from left field. It isn't how people think of DD. However, I felt if they just remixed their songs only to a darker twist, that would've been highly welcomed I think. They ruined Lonely by sticking Superfreak on the end.... great for concerts but not on an album. But again, they wanted this album to be a party one I guess. A slight sell out but good or bad, we stick with them
