I also ordered the 77 inch version. I viewed it in the store. I think the coating is very special and totally different from the typical matte screens you get on pc monitors etc. Also with this matte screen, stand and OCB it is by far the best looking tv on the market right now, also when it is off. Yes you definitely loose some depth/contrast during the day, but I never watch dark content during the day anyway. The one thing that stood out to me maybe most was that this tv is much easier on the eyes. Glossy oleds have so many reflections, in a non light controlled room, that it is very fatiguing for your eyes. You don't notice that your eyes are constantly adjusting to these reflections. After watching many glossy oled's in the store, de S95D was just a breeze for the eyes, even in Vivid store modes. It is like putting on polarizing sun glasses on a sunny day. I usually only watch sports during the day and some colorful cartoons content for my 2 year old. For sports the reflection handling and viewing angles are perfect and brightness more than enough. Dark series/movies we keep for late night in a darker/dimmed room. So with this tv you have the benefits of oled at night and matte screen / almost led specs during the day. No tv is ever perfect, but to many people with normal living rooms this may well be a game changer. The screen also reminds me of Apple adding nano-texture glass to their top spec iPads Pro.

Best LED for sure! Can’t stomach how SonySexuals trash and ignore this Masterpiece, their top of the line LED tv can even barely beat the QN95 series let alone the QN800 & 900 series which are Lightyears ahead in terms of Processing power and features.

Really appreciate the feedback. Would have shown the TV much more but we had lots of issues with the screen strobing. The Q900D changes frequency dynamically and it really messes up our camera which is set to 50hz. As we only had a limited time with the TV we couldn’t adjust for each shot so when it came to usable footage we had less than expected. A boring explanation I know, and would have otherwise shown much more of the TV than me! Next video is on the 98in Q80D and that has more b-roll or the TV.

Sony really does have some great technology, its colour science is the best in the industry. Backlight zone numbers can vary depending on the size of the panel too, so there will be less on a 65 inch screen compared to an 85 inch, for example. But you are correct that the zones need to be managed well to be very effective. What does adaptive sound pro do?
@gadgetguytech
@gadgetguytech 9 күн бұрын
Thanks for watching! Adaptive sound pro is actually pretty cool. It’s an AI technology that optimises the sound based on the characteristics of your room as well as the audio itself. It remasters the sound in real time to highlight things like voices or effects to ensure that they’re balanced. Hope this helps!

@@gadgetguytech thanks but i need to know more, so what’s the difference between adaptive sound pro and adaptive sound+ and active voice amplifier and active voice amplifier pro which ones would be louder for Bluetooth?
@gadgetguytech
@gadgetguytech 9 күн бұрын
@@ExclusiveMembersClub OK I see what you mean - it can be confusing with all of the different audio technologies, and some are only supported on certain models. Will do my best. First off, which type of sound enhancement is available will depend on the TV's processor. The one in the QN900D - the NQ8 Gen3 - is the most powerful, so it can offer more advanced audio processing. Adaptive Sound Pro is essentially about remastering the sound depending on the enviroment your TV is in. So it senses the room acoustics, as well as ambient noise, then rebalances the sound - this can also vary depending on what you're listening to. It uses AI to do so. Adaptive Sound+ is a lesser version of this, running on a TV with a slower chip. I imagine it doesn't rely on machine learning (AI) for this. Next, there's Voice Amplifier Pro, which works in tandem with Adaptive Sound Pro. It also uses Machine learning (AI) to analyze the audio you are listening to, specifically to identify and separate vocal tracks from mixed audio (music, SFX, etc) and enhance audio so you don't miss a word. In the context of Bluetooth, were you asking about a bluetooth external speaker connection, and which would be louder? These don't really have any impact on the volume, but rather the quality of the sound you are listening to - they rebalance the sound. With an external BT speaker, the Adaptive Sound Pro enhancements might not be as noticeable as if using the internal speakers + a Samsung soundbar with Q-symphony also in operation.

After messing around with the tv for 90mins at Best Buy i came to the conclusion that its basically the same tv as the QN900B. Yes, there are plenty of similarities between this model and the last couple years. When seeing last years side by side with this years, I really do see the difference with the quality of the AI upscaling, however if you’re not watching a lot of standard definition content to begin with, this feature may not matter all that much. Also, the way smooths out motion with some types of sports footage is better too. I do like how it makes the settings for you, especially in gaming mode, but I also don’t mind doing this myself. It’s a step up, but in ways that might not matter to some. Thanks so much for watching in your comment!

I just got the new Moto G Power 5g 2024 and it has the same Synthetic Leather material on the back and I was worried that I wouldnt like it as i never had a phone with that style of back but I love it. Mine is in Midnight Blue which looks basically like Black unless you shine direct light on it then you can see its the darkest shade of blue possible. I love the look and feel of the material and its really grippy i could see using it with no case and just a glass protector on fhe screen but i tend to drop things while being out and about when out of the house so i got a clear case for it. One thing im glad its a darker color because even with clean hands i could see the material getting dirty over time from being handled alot and lighter colors like the lilac or caramel latte would be harder to get dirt off of as it would kinda be like a liquid silicone case when it comes to getting dirty from being handled alot and the lighter colors would "stain" after awhile i think. I love the Blue i like the red color they have with the phones this year and i would love a Teal color or a deep eggplant purple would be beautiful

@@cverrcv Hi and thanks so much for watching the video and your comment. When you say that the 4K movies are not displayed in full screen, I'm assuming that you mean there are black bars at the top and bottom? This is because movies are made for movie theatre-shaped screens (with a 1:85:1 or 2:35:1 aspect ratio) and not TV screens, which have a less-wide 16:9 aspect ratio. Video that's made for TVs specifically will perfectly fill the screen because they are made with a 16:9 shape, but watching movies made for the cinema will not completely fit on a TV screen. That's why there are black areas that appear on the top and bottom of the movie. This is also called 'letterbox' format. You can 'zoom-in' a movie so it completely fills up the black spaces, but then you loose a bit of the width of the movie on the left and right sides, so TVs normally default to Letterbox format so you don't miss anything. You can change this in your settings so movies fill up the full screen if you prefer. I hope this helps and my apologies if I've misunderstood your comment.

Great comment! Good to hear that you're not perceiving any issues with the contrast. I thought it looked amazing relative to the S95C with no coating, and I'd gladly take the anti-reflective benefits versus a small hit to contrast, but to be honest I didn't notice anything really.

Yooo absolutely fire video man I only have one question, I’m basically sold on the S95D but I keep hearing people say 2 main things, 1, the “matte screen” is causing a loss of contrast and isn’t a good TV in a dark room “so nighttime use” and 2, people also say that this TV gets really bad temps due to it being a super bright panel and maybe placing the one connect box on the tv itself could cause higher temps instead of something like a TV unit/desk but I’m honestly not to sure there but what are your honest thoughts here man please don’t hold anything back🙏🏼 again super informative video and any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hey thanks for your awesome compliment! I can't honestly say that I've seen much by way of contrast degradation because of the anti-glare coating. Sure, any coating will have some impact, but it's quite negligible compared to the S95C that I use daily. Temp wise, I asked Samsung how they got the extra brightness, and there's no change to the pixel coating chemistry (nano-crystals) but rather increases in voltage, etc that they feel they can use based on how the S95C performs and their learnings from it. So it prob does get a little hotter but within safe margins. I suppose if anything goes wrong due to heat dissipation, they'll need to replace it under warranty anyway. Still, not a problem you'd want to experience! I didn't notice any unusual heat around the back of the panel, however the One Connect Box was not mounted to the stand. If it was, there's still a gap between it and the panel so I don't think it would be a problem. Thanks for watching!

@@gadgetguytech Yoo appreciate your help man that helps me a lot, I’ve never liked and subbed so quick in my life🙏🏼 also man do u plan to make any other videos on the s95D maybe a comparison video, cause everybody would rather get the S90D over the S95D, my theory they simply don’t like the matte screen

This tv is bad in bright rooms due to lifted blacks

Spotted the LG-fan, how's that colour volume looking?

You're the only one saying this because everybody else is saying the exact opposite and the black on this TV has not been lifted, they are simply just exactly what they should be... as a matter of fact, all the colours of this TV have veen certified by Pantone and this is including the white and black...

Literally NOBODY thinks the matte screen looks good. It's a specific use case for bright rooms. Completely useless and detrimental to people watching in dark rooms.

Thanks for watching! The anti-reflective coating also prevents internal lights / lamps from being reflected, plus reflections of yourself. I have the 77in S95C from last year and I can see myself in it as my sofa is fairly close to it. The panel is also 20% brighter, which is good for any situation. Also, I don't know if I agree that nobody likes the matte screen. What do you think is better, a shiny black mirror when the TV is off or a matte one? Personal preference but I'd prefer a matte one.

@gadgetguytech yes I agree it was hyperbole and some people like the matte screen. It's like having a giant computer monitor as my tv. I've seen many reviews which demonstrate where the blacks suffer from the screen and where colors were similarly diluted. If the tv is going in a room with tons of light and windows it probably makes sense, but that is not my use case so it's a no-go for me.

@@MrUpscaleman Unlike AR coatings on monitors, etc, this one doesn't have a negative impact on the brightness or the colour, as it is still a Pantone certified screen so very colour accurate, and brighter than last year's model. The new tech means you can now use OLED in a bright room (if that's what you need). For me personally, I have a brighter room but love the OLED look, which means no compromises now vs last year. However, if you don't need it, the 2023 Samsung S95C is a fantastic option and a cheaper price.

@gadgetguytech I have a 77 A95L. It needs to go back for a warranty claim. I need a new TV. I can't decide between another A95L, G4 or Bravia 9. I've ruled out the matte screen.
