Some soap & warm running water would help ensure you get it cleaned out. I would also suggest you see your doctor and at least get a tetanus shot. I wouldn’t be surprised if you needed some antibiotics too.
@DavisOffGrid8 сағат бұрын
I always keep current on tetanus. Had a nail go through my foot, including bone, as a child and got blood poisoning. Luckily they were able to get it in check, but they were close to taking the foot off. I stay current on that one, but there's no way I can go to the doctor for every little thing like this. Thank you for the suggestion on cleaning.

Nice setup I'm curious about the battery setup in series, and parallel I'll research that interesting. You have a lot invested hope everything works out for you.
@DavisOffGrid10 күн бұрын
Thank you! The series/parallel is a common setup for solar. It all depends on the inverter you are using from the pack. In my case it's 48V and I have to match that, hence the series. But a series bank with 4 12V 100ah batteries is only 48v at 100ah. And I needed more capacity, hence the 4 parallel rows.

They should be able to diagnose if there is hardware issues or configuration issues and should get things functioning properly for you. But understand no solar panels ever reach their full rated output power, these numbers are taken in ideal lab environments with temperature and light and not in ideal world situations.

Thank you. I'm waiting on eco-worthy. I know it's hardware. Motors are good. I think both problems have controller issues. The 2nd one I installed was just dead this morning. Had whacked out characters on screen. Had to unplug and reboot. I've see other controllers as well.
@Rock_Nemo10 күн бұрын
@@DavisOffGrid one way to verfiy if it is your controller is to switch out the good one with the ones that are not functioning. That way you will have proof of the issue and maybe get a quicker resolution

I get a ton of comments on here about traction. Added various types of "traction" to the tires. Had some success with some, but there is a close relationship between traction and longevity of the motor. The motor is just not up to the task when running at 24v with good traction. Oh, and the gearbox. Stripped many of those. So in the end, we basically ended up with original tires and we'd have to replace them now and then.

I would recommend putting an expanded metal screen across the back of your roll bar, if that strap breaks? not good,
@DavisOffGridАй бұрын
You're right. In this case, the strap was wrapped heavily around the stumps. If it broke, it would just be the strap which likely isn't going to do any damage. But could. We usually use a chain. Heavy chain that won't fly up...and we pull things up in reverse using the bucket. The bucket then provides protection.

Nice solar array but a very poor choice of inverter. lightweight, High frequency, transformerless inverters like these offer a far poorer surge capacity as well as a much shorter life expectancy than a real inverter that uses low frequency, transformer based inverter tech. You'll be lucky if you get even two years of service out of this high frequency inverter.
@DavisOffGridАй бұрын
I hope your wrong, but will keep your input mind when adding additional power.

@@DavisOffGridmy solar system is smaller like this and I'm always improving. I'm also running a camper. I had 1/0 wire loops between my batteries like yours forever. Yesterday I removed them and installed some flat busbars between the series strings that I found on Amazon. They are meant for individual cells so I had go drill the holes out bigger but they had a length that is perfect for those batteries. I wish I had done it sooner. Especially for as many batteries as I plan to do it saves a ton on wire and lugs.

It's kind of a list! I'm sure some are self inflicted, but it's been a learning process. I've worked out most things. Coming from a guy whose been stuck a time or two, i have some advice. You need to dig behind the tires so it can roll up out of the hole. Also, go back to harbor freight and buy a snatch block or 2 and a few clevis. Double your pulling power, and you dont need to pull straight on.
