I got one as a third bike, biggest bike I have, have a 74 Honda 550 that is nearly as fast, wish they could be geared higher.

I'm old shcool in that I like all the gauges. Is there a way to add or revise the bike to have Speedometer, Tachometer? I've seen on other bikes even a Temp guage, Amp guage, Oil Pressure gauge and yes - even a fuel guage (but that's over the top. I'm just curious.

I am puzzled about whether I should buy the Rebel 500 or Rebel 250 as my first bike.(I live in Japan and they told tell 300 here)
@Layrinn29 күн бұрын
I went 300 for price used and because insurance is 22 a month full coverage. Plus i liked the weight.

VERY CAREFUL heat gun removal of the product liability BS stickers on the fuel tank. I suggest removal of those for a MUCH better aesthetic. I doubt it will damage the classic value of the bike as long as kept maintained, clean, running, and safe. My 2004 1100 Spirit was also kept inside a conditioned space. I purchased it in 2011 for 3500 bucks (US) with 5,600 miles on the odo. Now, in 2024, it needs fork seals and that is all. On my 3rd front and 2nd rear tire since purchase. Now with 18,000 miles. We did a refresh on the carbs a year ago too. It still looks and runs perfectly. I know some folks with Harleys who keep a Shadow around for local riding.

Jesus died on the cross to pay for your sins, He was buried, then rose again the third day. Hell is real we all sin. Put your faith in Jesus Christ alone to save you. Trust in what He did for you.

Hey I have an important question. I just bought a 1997 Honda shadow spirit vt1100 and It has that hissing sound. Is that normal or is that an exhaust leak? I'm worried it's am exhaust leak because I don't know much about Honda spirits

At the risk of sounding dumb (I'm new to this) my maintenance manual says I'm not due for a new filter for quite a while but that I should do an oil change. Should I only be doing the drain and fill or do you recommend I still replace the filter anyway?
@CruisersCorner2 ай бұрын
I usually just replace filter anyways but you it’s up to you. Technically the filter probably still has life left.

Hi, I'm adding coolant to my 500 for the first time (but not draining). Do I add coolant through the radiator cap or straight into the reserve tank?
@CruisersCorner2 ай бұрын
You can add to either. Just make sure the bike is fully cold before opening the rad.

Great job on the video. I am torn between the 500 or 1100. Pretty much just going to ride around town and in the country.
@CruisersCorner2 ай бұрын
500 will definitely do but if you like to cruise over 100 KPH for long rides go with the 1100 also depends on your size.
@ttothep13 ай бұрын
As a fat middle aged man that just wants to go 30 mph on country roads is the 300 a better option over 500? Idk
I always hear people say you need to start small but that’s completely ridiculous. In my opinion. I started at 1100. It was my very first bike. And it ruined me, Every time I jump on a smaller bike I’m like what is this trash? It seems like a toy. It took me a little while to get used to driving a dirtbike because I’m used to letting off the clutch and the bike starting to drive away and on a 250 dirtbike if I let the clutch out at the same speed, the bike died.

I just bought my girlfriend a 2024 rebel 500. I’m 6’3” 240lbs and just rode it 50 miles back home on the interstate. I was kind of terrified because how easily that bike is blown around. My usual ride is a vtx 1800. But by the time I got home and got off the interstate it wasn’t bad at all.
@mikthe20042 ай бұрын
I learnt to ride mainly on my wife's Rebel 500 and I'm 6'2", and it never felt uncomfortable, even though my friends said it looked small for me. Then I bought my own bike - a Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 - and that felt way better. One day my wife and I went for a ride, and afterwards she asked me to ride her bike to get some petrol while she got ready for work!! Holy crap!! Stepping off my bike onto hers, it felt like the Rebel was one of those tiny clown bikes!! 🤣🤣🤣 It felt really uncomfortable. But I think my next bike will be the Rebel DCT 1100, maybe with forward foot rests??
@andrewmiranda51152 ай бұрын
For sure. That was what it was for me. Getting off my 700lb bike onto that rebel felt crazy.
