I wish I had this knowledge years ago. Today I have arthritic hands and am trying to put off thumb joint surgery. It is difficult to touch my thumb to my little finger but I'm going to keep using these exercises in hopes of better range of movement. Thank you Ann.

So sorry to burst the bubble the pineal gland is in the back of the throat and the skull. You are wrong the spot between your eyes is the pituitary gland Melatonin Serotonin and DMT and a host of other psychoactives Your eduction is lacking only as those who taught you were off base to teach this. Nasopharyngeal as bit swell . The solution does not pass through or difficult to pass through each side. And causing pressure at the frontal sinus . Should I take anti inflammation tablet and use the rinse twice a day half pkt in morning half pkt in evening to prevent burning sensation.

First of all, there are MANY approaches to Tai Chi (or Tai Ji). Hundreds, thousands of masters who teach their own way, while following a lineage. They may vary a tiny bit or a lot, both formally and philosophically. There is also the yin style and the yang style. That's another matter to look into if you are serious. But the basics can be good for anyone. Listen to your body. Modify whatever is causing you pain, and if in a class, ask the teacher how to properly modify. Tai Ji in essence is about finding your own strongest, simplest centered and balanced position and then moving in space. It is in many ways quite counter to the Western way of doing anything.
