The last one is pretty cool. Is that a single 1-layer wrap and a peel pack acting as another layer..? If that works I'd tell my director about it asap.

Would an automated flushing system be helpful for da Vinci arms? Something like the inside of the irrigator but for flushing detergent through instead of having to use syringes for the flushing stages?
@bradfordBogert29 күн бұрын
Great explanation on the process and need to fill basin first THEN add detergent and to do it consistently. 4:42

I'm with you ; I don't understand what kind of school this folks went thru or if they ever work in Decontam/. for several weeks to see the flow of it and now they are telling us "this is the right way " and on the end of it ; I don't know you fellow Tech but in my 16 year of experience and 15 Hospitals e 3 Surgical Centers , I've never seen a good work flow in these places that goes from dirty to clean and on top of the cross contamination of clean hand wash and dirty instruments thru the window ,AMMI.ST 79 ,OSHA , JAICHO its a fiasco in the case, they should go back to the designing board or get back to work in Decontam/. then probably they will get it.

dear @W.D.Y.D CSP , i have Question. what is the different between 10^6 spores VS 10^5 spores VS 10^4 spores ?
@WDYDCSPАй бұрын
The numbers you are referring to is the number of microbes on a device, typically used to represent the sterility assurance level of a process. 10^-6 is the goal of HLD and sterilization at minimum. 10^-4 is considered safe for handling and further reprocessing. It's a little more complex than this but that is the basics
@raufulmizan4685Ай бұрын
@@WDYDCSP HLD ? what is it ? so choosing between those two is depend what you need or what the ISO said ?

Theres some places that dont do it , they just pre- rinse it while instruments are still on stringer. Its crazy!
@jovalentdomingo56792 ай бұрын
There are facilities that does it differently. Where I worked at we didnt do it this way. First since we pre rinse and used water gun to flush out and visualize the blood coming out. And check the tips etc. Then take it to where it gets flush primed enzymatic detergent soak etc
@WDYDCSP2 ай бұрын
I used to do it that way too until one day blood splashed right onto my facesheild. I then decided to not flush the ports u til I was under the surface of the water.

while everything that you said is correct, and according to the ifu's. I've been doing sterile processing for over 12 years and no facility that Worked for, has the time to process da Vinci like this. especially at surgical centers. everything your saying is absolutely correct. but the truth of sterile processing is....most hospitals and surgical center don't do it this way.
@WDYDCSP3 ай бұрын
I will not disagree with you. Most places that do robotics cut corners because they have not taken into consideration the time it takes to process.

And sadly, I have seen the same. This is why I choose to become an educator and a leader. Under my watch, this is how it's gonna be taught and done. I'll deal with the OR and surgeons

I did my google search after that😅 1 year later, did an online course for sterile processing and I just passed my crcst 2 days ago. Now im trying to find a place where to do my 400 hours . I know it’s is going to be a bumpy road😅.

@@DaniNew2spt sorry I just saw this! I am in southern California. I paid someone to write me a very well written cover letter and resume to try and compare what I did for 17 yrs in my last role (server/dishwasher/busser) and how those roles apply to sterile processing. The pay is horrendous though.
