Just got recommended this video, aquaria was my favorite game as a kid, i even dressed up as her for Halloween one year. Amazing game, so creative and unique.

This game even 9 years ago still badass and never fucking boring!! so beautiful, uniqe, aaand I'm s..speachless! I remember played this game when I was 8 years old I guess, this game made my tears comes out and now I'm 18, thank god now Aquaria on Steam so now I can buy and play it again.... oooh and now can download sequel mod from bitblot forum made by fans....

My mum bought this game when I was like nine, and I played it for maybe an hour and got scared by something and never touched it again. Maybe five years ago I remembered the game only as 'the scary mermaid game' and I just learned the name of it twenty minutes ago. Wow. My five-year quest for answers has come to an end. Thank goodness for that.

***** Aquaria came out many years before Beatbuddy, and I've only heard of Beatbuddy now that you mentioned it. Aquaria came out in 2007 while Beatbuddy's release date was 2013 (I think). Is BeatBuddy any good?

Soulsphere001 Beatbuddy looks a lot like Aquaria, but is very linear and has the music element added. It doesn't have the multiple path exploration that Aquaria has. In my opinion, Beatbuddy looks fun to "play through" once, but Aquaria is an awesome game that you can spend a long time playing and is definetly different (though it did remind me of Echo the dolphin on the old sega systems, somewhat....)

This game is grossly unknown. And I think the only reason for that is because its on PC and from a lesser known developer. This game needs more acclaim than it gets, and they need to make more like it

for people who watch this and are maybe unsure whether to get it... you should. You won't regret it, this is by far the best game I've ever played and I'm currently searching in vain for a game to play that is even remotely as superb as Aquaria is. It's challenging and beautiful and, and just buy it already.

It's a real shame this never got a 360 or PS3 release, it would have likely done quite well on those. Maybe it could be released for the PS4's self-publishing indie thing?
