Deathconsciousness by every metric, is a phenomenal album. It is very well my favorite album of all time. But none of the tracks on it could ever make me feel so broken as this one. God, what a composition.

I’m not sure if I’m right but the song has two versions of Dan’s voice and throughout the the song it changes from the I would say extreme version to the more calm voice

my tears stain the piece of paper that im holding in my soft hands, a missing poster. there’s loads of them scattered all over my white carpet, and so many around the small town, they are hanging up all over the school, and all over the streets. some posters lying on the dirty ground, people stepping on them with their muddy shoes. ive covered the whole town in her posters. i printed off so many copies, now i have no paper to fill my printer with. but it’s worth it. there are slim to no chances of finding her and if she is found it will most likely be her body but a part of me is still holding on to the slight hope that she will return alive. I hug the poster to my chest as i start to sob uncontrollably, i should of stayed by her that night if i had she would still be here, safe in my arms.

Relax and read... You sit in my room in the evening while the sun gazes through my window and with the drapes blowing from the wind, it amazes you that you made it through the summer and it's close to becoming winter with school right around the corner. You recollect everything you did during this unforgettable summer with and without your friends, you go and leave the house at night with friends and walk around until day. The sun rises and you get goosebumps as the wind picks up. At night is where you find the most fun but during the day time you don't seem to be yourself, the summer passes and school starts, then next summer comes and you can't seem to get the magic from last summers end and the years go on and on but still the nostalgic places or moments don't prevail... You cry at nights and think of better times but truly you will never know what's next in life and you got to make the most of the moments you are in because it could be the last moment you might ever enjoy.

I suffer in silence. Every day I daydream about disappearing because I feel disconnected from everyone and everything. I didn’t know a person could be in so much pain. I sleep on the floor in the living room, live with very abusive people and just wish to live a better life. But I’m still a young kid and there’s nothing much I can do. I can’t just pack my bags and move to a different city. Everything is so strange and weird now and sometimes I wish i could finally end it all.
