Now that’s what I call sticking to the subject. When I hear a Harry Nilsson song I ALWAYS think about Kamala Harris-makes sense, right? I mean, Harry Nilsson/Kamala Harris-natural progression! 😂🤪🤣

I always loved this song. So goofy but you can still appreciate Nilsson’s astonishing vocal ability. He wasn’t admired by John Lennon for nuttin

I dedicate this sublime tune in VERY loving memory of my heavenly resplendent wife - My Darling-of-Darlings - My Lady Barbra Rose. Barb, we had only 2 years together in this life, but I wouldn't trade that short time for all of the ages yet to come. I miss you beyond measure. I love you beyond Time. Wait for me on Glory's golden shore. I'll be with you and the rest of our loved ones - soon enough. Your Champion. Your Forever Companion. Your Forever-Loving Husband. -- Walt
This song brings back a cascade of memories of someone I’ve known since the sixties. The many happy times we’ve shared over the years. I treasure the times we’ve had together.

Between 1946 and the British invasion in 1964, the music industry was wonderfully diverse. Local radio stations played all kinds of music, and major corporation did not dominate record production. As a consequence, wonderful instrumentals like this one were just as popular as rock 'n roll and country music. I remember dancing as a teenager at sock hops to Percy Faith ("A Summer Place" and "Delicado", Jimmie Dorsey ("So Rare"), George Cates ("Picnic \ Moonglow"), Eddy Heywood ("Soft Summer Breeze" and "Canadian Sunset"), Henry Mancini ("Peter Gunn, Charade, Moon River," et al) just to name a few off the top of my head. People seem to have forgotten that popular music was once beautiful and performed by musicians who were true artists. It was a privilege to grow up in that era. Today, compositions like this one cannot even get air time. What a sad commentary on what popular culture has become.
