W 20th st Chelsea Manhattan. Going further south on this road you’ll eventually spot the World Trade Center. Going west of where the video starts you’ll also reach the High Line, a great tourist attraction. The reason her rent is so crazy is because of the location. She’s in the middle of various tourist attractions which bumps up the prices. The flatiron building, Washington square arch, World Trade Center, time square being further north, and the high line. This place is like… smack dab in the middle of it all ofc her rent is 1700$ which could get her a better apartment in upper west manhattan but she doesn’t want to because her job and also the crime rate goes up further north which is why the rent is cheaper up there. If she wants to move and remain in NYC she could try Brooklyn.

The projects back in the 1940's had 21requirement to get accepted. Today anyoe can get in. The problem with the projects is there should be a minimum of salary to get approved to live there. Some healthy people dont want to bother getting a job. No one should be allowed in with a felony conviction. If you are a tenant and commit crime and convicted you should be evicted and never allowed in again.

Wow this is what we meant about privilege. They got $70k apartments in NYC while blacks and Hispanics got public housing. This apartment when it sells will make over $1million easily. They basically are millionaires (net worth). Even if $70k is like $200k today, that’s still insanely cheap for this area.
