If you make more than $100k a year, this apartment is actually a steal. Divide $7k by 4(roomates) comes out to $1750 a month. $20k a year in rent. If you are making $120k a year, this is actually well priced, and you would be able to save for your own place or a home

i really loved the way you mention where you kept the shoes considering no one wants to track dirt. i just can't fathom how anyone doesn't see this as common sense and wear shoes around their own homes for that matter let alone have others walk around with dirty shoes as guests too. thanks for sharing this video!

I was shocked when I visited USA for the first time in 2009 and I was told that I could keep my shoes on inside and they even had wall to wall carpet. This is clearly not how we do it in Norway, we have slippers for indoor use if we don't just wear socks. I also noticed he walked outside on his socks in the video...

I just subscribed! I absolutely love just watching everything you get on film in NYC! I have only been there one time for my 18th birthday and stayed in the Marion Marquis facing Times Square and it was soo astonishing and beautiful!! I am dying to go back and I wish I could live in the cute old school kinda of feel in these apartments, even the tiniest ones! Thanks for making these awesome videos!! I’m obsessed with NYC since I was a young kid, and I have only seen snow one time in Virginia with my safety patrol group in fifth grade!! I’m born and raised in Palm beach County Florida and We don’t have changing seasons, or snow, and I’m in the equestrian western boondocks called Loxahatchee or The acreage, every lot is an acre and a half or more, but very flat,humid,and cannot walk anywhere, you basically have to own a vehicle to go anywhere and only recently have a handful of stores and gas stations in the vicinity, otherwise I have to drive 20 miles into town for everything else!🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🙏🙏❤️😘 I want to visit NYC!! 😊😉🙏

My former house I was renting had 4 of us there, we divided it up pretty much the same way. The two girls that were a couple had the master bedroom with bathroom, I had the middle bedroom and my other roommate had the smaller room. Although my room was a decent size, I also got the most heat because the sun faced it ALL DAY. But overall we were a good group that didn't know each other but meshed very well.

A “house” 😂 or at least in The Netherlands we would, what you’re showing is a typical house in the Netherlands (where I’m from). One story, higher then streetlevel and maybe a balcony we call an appartement. But then again standards of the size of houses are very different here, also two bathrooms is considered a luxury. It’s not that people can’t afford it, it’s just cultural, you’re not expected to go overboard. Someone would probably say “2 bathrooms, are you the king or something?😒” God Im really making my country sound terrible.. 🥴 Really it’s great, we’re fifth on the list of happiest people.

@@charlottevanlangevelde1114 A house in America is not attached to another house. If it is we call it a TOWNHOUSE. A duplex can be an apartment. A house split up legally can have apartments. You have to have 2 bathrooms because if you have company or one breaks.

The prices in NYC went through the roof, I bought a 800sqf apartment on CPW for about $200,000 in 1986. They are selling for over $1.5m right now and they rent for about $3500 a month. I should never have sold it.

Yea you definitely could’ve just rented it out right?? My motto is: if ya own it, but don’t want to stay in it, rent it outttt! There’s always someone looking for housing who probably can’t buy or don’t want to but could pay the rent for sure (weird since rent accumulates more cost than purchasing but that’s the game of it all 🥴).

My worst nightmare. Paying an enormous amount of money for a space I can’t really invest in because it’s not really mine, no privacy and also I can hear other people having sex mere feet away from me. I would much rather live in a rural area where I can at least own my own property and not have to co exist so closely to others. I guess I’m an introvert in that way.
@Steve-1269
@Steve-1269 Жыл бұрын
I agree, I did new construction for years and worked on many houses around or over a million dollars and sometimes the neighbors house would only be about 20ft away..I never understood why someone would spend that much money to live so close to someone else. Not to mention that some new houses are built so fast and cheap that you can hear your neighbors in the house next door like you're in an apartment. Edit: I live in rural Pennsylvania, South of Pittsburgh so a million dollar house around here is a lot different than a million dollars in NYC.

@@Steve-1269 who gives a shit about neighbors? Roommates i fully understand! I dont people to hear banging, but i dont care if i share a wall with a neighbor, especially there house be 20 feet away. Baffled at ur opinion
@Steve-1269
@Steve-1269 Жыл бұрын
@@jaketaylor8176 because where I live you can get a decent sized house on some land for the same price and don't have to worry about neighbors being that close. Where I'm at 20ft is considered close. I'd never spend over a million to live in a housing plan. Some of those people can't even have the landscaping that they want if it's not passed by the HOA...I can legally shoot in my front yard. Definitely can't get away with that in a housing plan and my house is nowhere near a million. My buddy just bought a 5 bedroom house on a decent plot of land for just over 600,000. Like I said. Most of those new houses are junk and I know because I've built them..definitely not worth a million dollars that's for sure.
@Steve-1269
@Steve-1269 Жыл бұрын
Some of those houses only need plywood in the corners, so someone with a battery powered Sawzall could just cut a hole in the side of your house and walk right through the fuckin thing. Other than the studs it's basically just siding, insulation and then drywall. I've done prefabricated houses that got shipped there on a damn truck and built in a day or 2..if you want to spend money on a piece of shit like that then go ahead. It keeps people like me working, so I can't complain but I'd damn sure never buy one.

@@Steve-1269 currently I rent. I live in the country surrounded by beautiful nature. The house I rent is a 3 bedroom 2 bath 2 story house with a 2 car garage. My rent is 600.00 a month which is dirt cheap. My closest neighbor is my sister. Right now I know it’s too much house for me after a loved one died but I want to stay here in the country as long as I can before I get older and need to move into an apartment that’s more practical. Which I will hate. I’ve been a country girl all of my life. I find these apartments fascinating because it’s hard for me to imagine living that way. I definitely understand your POV.

Not a bad price! You should consider adding in $/sqft to your videos. It's not a metric that a lot of people think of when renting, but it's really the best to use. I find myself checking it on each of these and it seems that a lot of NYC places avg $6-7/sqft. Whereas Nashville seems to avg about $2/sqft (So I pay about the same as you in rent, just without the roomates)

I always found it ironic that people always praise moving out of your families house to gain more "independence", meanwhile you literally have to compensate with the same amount of room mates as family members, you're subject to other peoples messes and problems, and more lack of privacy - and on top you usually pay more. All I can think is that those rooms are laughable.... Imagine bringing home a significant other and trying to get some personal time...... I can't. Also maybe Logan should opt to switch his bedroom in his office, and his office to his bedroom?

I wouldn't be able to live with roommates, no way! I need my space and privacy in my home, from the outside world!

My apartment is $7000 a month... That's why I can only afford one white sock and one brown sock. Guess which one is clean. I can only afford to wash one at a time and I alternate which foot gets the marinated one everyday.

I like this super tiny apartment and the inhabitant is open-minded and sorted. I live in a hundred years old building too but in Berlin but this is Berlin and not NYC so I have 624 sq ft rentcontrolled... 😉
