Thanks for the video. Reassembly is easier if you put the smaller split bushing (the one with the little tab) on the pedal before inserting the inner pin of the return spring. The tab sits inside the machined slot closest to the outer return spring pin, making sure that it lays against the 3 wrap side of the return spring. Your video helped me salvage a great set of pedals. Thanks again.

You could change the brake caliper rubbers at the same time, you don't need to lubricate those parts, as long as you clean them .

The smaller black half circle pĺastic has a notch attach to the castle like metal tube and should be put before attaching the spring. I think the pedal will work without that plastic. Just my opinion. Thank you.

Excellent video on how not to service any part of a bike! Step one clean it, property with water and a suitable cleaning solution. All you did here was contaminate some fresh grease and cause some extra wear on your bike. It would go probably been better and lasted longer if you hadn’t done this at all.

Nie wiem czy ja to dobrze wszystko robię. Po złożeniu amora w całośc i napompowaniu nie działa mi blokada. Słychać przy uginaniu kiedy blokada jest włączona jak by powietrze nadal się tam znajdowało. 3 razy już rozbierałem i nadal nie weim o co chjodzi. Może ktoś z Was miał podobny problem?

Poważnym błędem jest smarowanie zewnętrznej strony metalowej tulei lub wnętrza pedału - powinny być bez smaru że względu na to że tuleja wciskana za pomocą aluminiowej nakrętki do korpusu. Korpus i tuleja metalowa tworzą tzw pasowanie ciasne tak aby obie części nie obrócił się względem siebie. Gdy dojdzie do obrotu to tak jak obrócenie się panewki w silniku ...

Good Gawd squirt the bike down with a hose first.

Auf alle Fälle Einmalhandschuhe anziehen wenn ihr mit Bremsenreiniger arbeitet! Das Zeug ist nicht wirklich gesund. Und achtet auf Gute Lüftung. Auch sollte das Fett und Öl nicht so bedenkenlos ohne Handschuhe verwendet werden. Ansonsten ein Guter Tip.

Oglądam twoje filmy z powodów rowerowych. A tu masz VOLVO!!!! Szacun. Nie można kłaść pasty miedzianej na piastę!!! Tam są elementy aluminiowe (np felga). Zapieczenie po sezonie zimowym gwarantowane. Pozdrawiam.

Cześć. Dzięki za podzielenie się filmem. Bardzo dobry poradnik. Ja troszkę więcej uwagi poświęcam czystości, ale to jak to lubi- tzn posiłkuje się benzyną ekstrakcyjną i czystym pędzelkiem do czyszczenia części i zawsze mam dwie szmatki (na brudno i na czysto). W ogóle zachowanie czystości przy wymianie smaru w SPD jest kluczowe bo jedna drobina piachu skutecznie zniszczy te malutkie łożyska (sama konstrukcja jest bardzo dobrze uszczelniona i tak naprawdę interwały serwisowe można ograniczyć do minimum jeżeli założy się odpowiedni smar) Na gwint kontry Shimano daje niebieski klej i myślę że jest to logiczne, gdyż miniaturowy gwint nie da się mocno dokręcić bo można go zerwać. Przy dokręcaniu kontry warto zablokować oś aby się nie kręciła (imadło i klucz imbusowy 8). Pozdrawiam Michał
