I remember meeting them at the elevator lobby bank at at hotel in Houston. Georgette and Robert Mosbacher had to been newlyweds, late 80's. Very handsome couple. I followed just enough about them to know who they are and about them. I was there for business, the Mosbacher's were there I found out at the ballroom for some event. I suspect he was speaking but not sure. I initiated small talk in the elevator with just a comment to engage them and they were both very nice and responded with equal engagement. I was sad when I heard they divorced. She's a hard working and smart woman. Glad to see she's still relevant for the party.

This has nothing to do with Jim Crow. I’m talking about the person Jim Crow, who made up the laws to fight Black people against Black people and keep them as slaves. You guys are getting off the topic and you’re showing about this man’s museum and all the things about Black people, but you’re not talking about all the things that Jim Crow put in that letter where the heck is that man, that is the true Jim Crow letters that told other white people what to do to keep Black people in their places and thinking like slaves make them beat each other hurt each other kill each other. Where are those letters in the museum?

My black people and Believers of God it's time to wake up and realize you've been screwed over starting in April 1st 23 I want all believers to turn off their television turn off your radio quit buying the newspaper until our government respect God's people and it would bring them to their knees I asked in the name of Jesus and for the ones that know him by your yahawa if you part of the body of Christ it's time to put up a shut up and don't stop until they remove that Jim Crow law we got plenty of money for other things but wanting to take Social Security and Medicaid away from the American people I'm asking that every Church come together on the Earth every believer on the Earth and if you have read this I asked you the name of the father that you spread this and send it to your friends thank you and God bless you TV consumption in the United States was highest among African Americans.

It's amazing how when predominantly black music is being talked about doowop ,rythm and blues , rock n roll is somehow skipped over ,and they go straight to Motown !!! everyone basically skips an entire decade of music !!!!.1950's.....The Cadillac's(ny) ,The Teenagers,(ny)The Cleftones(ny),The Harptones, (ny)The willows(ny), The Swallows,(Baltimore) The Rainbows(Washington DC) I'm fairly sure these groups especially the last two performed at the Howard Theater and many other groups as well !!!!...........

I love history. The world is not perfect, and there is not a single country where the laws are fair, but it is worth just learning about the past to better inform and educate ourselves.

Excellent program, great information and mostly balanced. But reparations can't be the answer. Black kids need fathers & stable families to succeed. White folks can't fix that, with any amount of time or money. How about just accepting wrongs occurred in the past, and working together as one people to improve everyone's lives?

Not many old timers left now but i used to talk to them alot. They all told me blacks and whites got along better under Jim Crow, why? Because each knew their place in society. No two races can live together in harmony.Nature proves it.

Hello Robin Hamilton, I’m with Goat Rodeo. We’re a creative audio team based in Washington DC. We make podcasts and are passionate about telling stories that might not otherwise get heard. We’re currently working on a series called Queens of the Underworld, where we tell the stories of women who were left out of the history books and end up as side pieces in gangster movie scripts. These are the women who found their own way and made their own place, while laying the groundwork for the influencers of today. In this series, one of the women we’d love to feature is Odessa Madre. We came across the fantastic documentary you made about Odessa’s life, and we were wondering if you’d be willing to talk with us about Odessa and your experience making the documentary. If you have some time over the coming weeks, I’d be happy to hop on a call to tell you a little more about the podcast and answer any questions you might have. I look forward to hearing from you! Best, Isabelle
