Can you direct drill wheat in to a existing grass lay, with a standard Claydon setup?

So the down force is regulated with a hydraulic zylinder in the parallelogram?
@charlieeaton2464 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jonas, yes the downforce is regulated by a hydraulic block at the front of the drill where the operator can adjust the pressure. This is then delivery by cylinders in the parallelogram

Hi! I really find this drill interesting! Im from southern Sweden, we got really heavy claysoil and lots of blackgrass. Are there any dealers in Sweden for this or do you now any demo in Denmark for this? If the conditions are are a bit wet, don't the wheels compacts the soil too much? Im afraid that the wheels may wake up new blackgrass-seed. Or how much can you lift them when seeding in wet conditions? But really great drill and video, I'd love to se some video of variated seed rate and also how you calibrate this thing. Thanks!

Hi Jonathan, I was in Sweden 2 weeks ago setting up our first DSX which is with a farmer about 1 hour west of Stockholm at Munsö. I have also sold another DSX to a farmer near Eskilstuna which will be delivered in July. I am actively seeking a dealer/dealers in Sweden and I’m bringing the DSX to Borgeby in June.

Do you have a video of the emerged crops during the growing season
@richardhinchliffe2665 Жыл бұрын
Really good video. Bit disappointing that the first thing that you picked up on was 'it looking good'. I do think 'if a machine looks right it goes right' is a good general rule. But it isn't how I would have started the countdown considering all the other good features on the drill. Nice to see a wider choice of disc notill drills available in the UK now, the choice is far wider than when I bought our first notill disc drill back in 2012

Another nice video, appreciate the music clips too. Shame the lid doesn’t go past 90 degrees to give more leeway with bags and tote bins. Would like it on an air or hydraulic ram personally.
@charlieeaton24642 жыл бұрын
Hi David, thanks for your kind comments and also feedback on the lid. It’s designed to lock up at 90 degrees to act as a secure handrail but you’re right we can make access slightly easier and certainly put it on hydraulic rams. Charlie
@HawkMillFarm2 жыл бұрын
@@charlieeaton2464 agree about the hand rail function being important. Not sure what the solution is but it’s difficult not to hit (my red version’s) lid with a bag or bin and if it gets bent it could lose the air seal!

Surprised at how much demo's you set up, must be really sure of your system, even in less ideal conditions.. i' ve got a sort of subsoiler/cultivator with kuhn sitera, but when wet,the roll on the cultivator and the press wheels on the seeder compact the soil 2 much. Keep on the good work! Grtz from belgium

@charlieeaton24643 жыл бұрын
Hi Patrick, yes the Terrastar will do a good job but will stay fairly shallow so if you’re looking to go deeper than about 50mm then you would be better off with a disc machine
