I would have added some other enemies from the books i read, like Biggrin, Akar Kessell, Heafstagg, Verbeeg warriors, cave fishers and dire corbies. Some of the enemy choices are odd, water elementals? Really? Hypnotic spirits?

I separate flat sheets from the corrugated side by running the flat side under a faucet for a little bit, then they peel off of each other. Just don’t soak it.

I was expecting a story of how the tip snapped off and shot into the wall socket somehow. There is a term for believing in something making it not true, for example if everyone believed driving was safe, it would be less safe because no one would drive safely. I cannot remember the term for it though.

I experienced the same moral the day this was uploaded, albeit in a very different way. Had a TRPG character I'd been playing for months die, all because of a series of bad rolls and his own magic item (which had never screwed him over) being turned against him.

I wonder if demolding could have been made easier by smearing the mold with vaseline first? Should help keep the mold from becoming soggy, and from sticking to the cast.

These specifically were hand brushed with one splotchy coat of Vallejo acrylic-polyurethane surface primer. The stuff is meant for an airbrush, but I did not have an airbrush at the time of painting these and an uneven coat of primer was better than none.

I learned some useful things about what not to... which should be very useful when I use the clear PVA glue I bought a couple of days ago for making small water terrain and for puddles on bases. Basically, it boils down to: stay small, don't make it too deep, and make certain the bases you use can't be easily warped.

I like to use pipe cleaners twisted into the trunk, roots and branches. Im still experimenting to perfect it but they serve the purpose. I also use reindeer moss for foliage as well.

Great video, fantastic techniques. I would suggest using MDF rectangles, as your base: larger pieces means fewer pieces to build/store/deploy, still customizable for size and shape; MDF is virtually impervious to warping from PVA Glue/Mod Podge; the edges can be sanded to bevel them, if needed. I would further suggest sealing it with a wood sealer, then spray paint it a base blue color, to speed up the painting process. Apply various blue washes after the spray paint base dries. You could try a food dehydrator to speed up curing of the Mod Podge: blows mildly heated air across the surfaces. Cheers!

Those are some great ways to improve the build. Thank you. I have gotten into working with MDF a bit since the making of this video and I agree it is the better way to go.

Now i know how to do crystals for my draenei miniatures. Ty man!!!!
@markcole5108
@markcole5108 4 ай бұрын
Another option instead of painting is to create a hollow base with a colored LED. The crystal can then be glued around the framework, which then can be filled in using textured paint, paste, or greenstuff. When the LED is powered up, the light will up the crystals.

Hey, your brown shields could always pass for bronze ones. Drybrush with some greenish or blueish to add some patina as they belong to ancient warriors and you're set :) Great video, really like your work on this

Without making me sound like a total ass about it, is it common for DND miniatures to lack intricate detailing in many many cases?

It is common especially among the older sculpts. I think all the models in this game are reused from previous sets.
