30 degrees sound like paradise right now! With the heat index it has been hitting 40+ in my neck of the woods for the last few weeks. Makes getting out a bit to miserable. POV shots were great! Tell Adam that you are supposed to swallow water ,not inhale! 🤣

Hey Adam and Ryan, awesome video with each new one having better techniques. It's a learning process right? Not so many bugs this time and you've scored a battery operated pump! What kind of fish are up that way btw? Anyway, love learning about the far north east terrain and wildlife. Keep the videos coming. VZ

Dude, loved the close-up shots… a bit different video than most I’ve seen online… but my favorite! I’m planning on hiking a section of the ECT in late Aug/early Oct. At Berry Head Arch, I noticed the area under your hammock was clear- could a tent easily be set up there? I’ve seen others camping closer to the arch… so, besides where you camped, are there other “unofficial” spots where one could set a tent close to the arch but not exactly next to the cliff? BTW, you got 1 more subscriber today!
@radarbase17 күн бұрын
Awesome 🍻 It's bigger worlds full of smaller worlds, yeah? The area around the arch is pretty well-trodden, but rough. I'm sure you can find a spot, but you might need to put up with some slopes, rocks, roots, or bumps. I should say though that the ECT recommends only camping near trailheads or on the designated sites ✌️😉 Enjoy the hike but watch out for seasonal storms as we transition into autumn! Let me know how it goes 🙌

Never buy a tent for bad weather including rain scenario that does not have inner attached. Just a straight forward red flag. For instance the KUIU Storm star has inner attached. Just erect the tent in minutes and inner stays bone dry.

I am also planning to buy the AMOK hammock, how I ended up on your video. I already hammock camp and looking for an upgrade. The "seat" function is what really sells me on it.

@@radarbase Will do. Should be getting both within a month and will do a test hike here in Michigan. Think I might also get some poles for staking out the ends of the tarp, with that rocking, looks like the head/foot might touch the tarp. Poles would also allow me to stake them tighter in, decreasing the trip hazard. Thanks for the video!

Been using a stormbreak 2 for a couple years now, summer and winter. You’re not kidding about “bombproof”. I set it up in a field once with these chopped woody stalks pointing out of the ground (I couldn’t clear them out in time and had to just set up camp). I thought for sure it would tear up the bottom. When I got home after the trip I set the tent up in my back yard and hosed down the bottom expecting the inside to be soaked, but nope, not a single leak. Couldn’t believe I hadn’t ruined it. Love this tent.

@radarbase4 ай бұрын
@@fletcherbenson6428 Six miles is a good start! What to pack depends on the conditions where you're going and your budget, so I won't recommend anything specific. At a minimum, make sure you're covered for shelter, water, food, light, and fire starting (where legal). The distance is reasonable, so it would be wise to over-pack and develop your sense for what you need and what you don't. Most importantly -- GOOD LUCK & HAVE FUN! Let me know how it goes 😄
