Why can't I download that additional content after installing Reason 12??? Have they discontinued the server?? Can I download that content somewher else??? It's just stuck and won't download.

its ridiculous it wont let me DL the stuff i payed for years ago now they offer these things in reason+ or whtaever? like it will download all teh way, then tell me it failed at 99%? lol whats going on @reason

Ever since version 10 I get clicks and pops while playing reason synths or vst. Even just playing subtractor. Using asio external audio. Focusrite Changed my audio settings and buffer size with no success. Updated to 11 thinking that would fix problem. Same. I'm running fl studio and cubase and the watered down version of ableton and reaper. All work perfectly except reason.

I need help! I have tried routing this 3 separate times and I'm almost positive I have everything set up properly but for some reason when I play back the drums they are quiet and dull. I'm getting signal in the correct channels but the sound is just weak. I A/B it by taking my drum pattern from the combinators track lane and dragging it onto a track for a regular instance of kontakt with the same drum kit. It's way quiter when going through the external routing we just set up. I turned it up to be the same volume so I could compare and even with it turned up it sounds dull and lifeless compared to just the regular contact patch. What could this be? I'm racking my brain trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance

I’m considering upgrading from Reason 6.5.3. My issue is that I haven’t made a beat in nearly 2 years. I started with Reason 3 and never tried another DAW outside of Garageband and Logic Pro X

Reason is my main. I started at 3.0 and Never, tried anything else. Currently at 9.5 and will jump to 11.2 update.

I did. I love it! And I upgraded from a very old version of Reason to 11 Suite.

Reason Studios taught me a hard lesson to never buy REs THEY develop! They will eventually make them part of the stock instruments (Radical Piano), or bundle them all as some kind of update.

Why I’m not updating to reason 11. Simply because I use it as a DAW. That’s a sad reason not to update reason.

Sounds like vintage garbage. No one adequate person won't write modern music using instruments that were fashionable 40 years ago. Complete bullshit this synthesizer. Sorry.

I’d like to add Reason I feel right from the start always made the most sense and the least complicated to work on and make music, which is why i currently mostly use it.. Ableton for example seemed to be a different language when I first used it. Reason has a good platform but needs to compete at a higher level to be taken seriously.. I work with a lot of other producers and they all talk shit about reason but I know they are secretly intrigued by it in some ways

I would like to hear more about what Reason is lacking as a Daw.. I feel that there are many things reason is lacking as to be a true competitor professionally

The signs are obviously showing that this Company is heading in a new direction towards a future where Reason Daw will be no more. They are streamlining their whole business starting with the company name and following with the DAW. The end is near.

I started out with reason 1. After a few years I abandoned it because of it's limited daw features. In my mind I always wished for a rack in other daws. I hate one knob plugins, I wish to have all controls on screen to make tweaking easy. Now we finally can 😇

Thanks for your brief evaluation Mike, I mainly use ProTools as my primary DAW with more occasional use of Reason 10 as a DAW and when I mix the environments it happens via Rewire, a question Id like to ask is if I go for the regular Reason upgrade (not the full suite option) could I use the Reason rack as a direct insert in Protools, thank you

I'm in the same boat. I started using FL after using reason exclusively for ten years. Some things way better than reason, some things not better than reason. But the big thing for me is being able to use all the rack extensions I spent a ton of money on in any daw. When I started using FL I really noticed the lack of third party tools I actually had. I was feeling a little resentful towards that afterwards. I'm not sure if I will continue to buy them but at least what I do have will always still be usable. The nice thing about REs is that they are all located in the same place when you need to redownload them. If you get a new computer you dont have to remember and go to all the third party vsts sites to download them individually. They do offer 50% vouchers for vst versions but imo that's still not that fair. You should just get the vst version when you buy the RE. It's not like they make you buy something twice if you want the AU and the VST version.

Reason is my main DAW but I am switching to Studio One. I will upgrade to Reason suite just to use the rack and SSL plugins.

Never heard of track freezing until now, but I don't think I would ever use that. Seems like a gimmick for slow computers. And folders? Are you not organizing them yourself anyway?

Great for other DAW's, kick in the nuts for Reason users. Feels like a cash grab, but then again, at $125 its still a third of what Cubase costs.
