Love your video I'm currently a clinical student in indonesia. I just wanna know, is worth it study in America? Is it worth it to become a doctor in there? I will be extremely happy if you could help me to answer. Because i'm depressed to see my country treating doctors here. i want to move there if its worth the penny Thank you very much

what about medical research is it okay to just take the USMLE exams to get matched or i have to do a research?
@SarangChoiMD19 күн бұрын
Research is good to have but it’s not a requirement. It also depends on which specialty you are applying to. Some specialties prefer you to have research

@SarangChoiMD19 күн бұрын
Not sure if you can access the number elsewhere

Please allow the comment below which should help those who didn't match. My post below reflects my own personal opinions and not taht of any organization. Come to Maine as a Medical Assistant for a Year! For those who didn't match in ERAS, who have the right to work in the US, you may apply for a paid job as a primary care medical assistant. See link below: careers.covenanthealth.net/job/20186991/medical-assistant-auburn-me/ I wouldn't worry about the medical assistant certification as you have a medical degree. If you do well, you can ask for a recommendation letter from the attending for next year's ERAS application.

You will be a great resident and attending, and I hope you carry all you have learned into caring for your future patients. AMCAS, ERAS, USMLE, NBME, ECFMG, NRMP, all boards, all medical schools in the US have all amalgamated into a business mafia that makes tons of money and they completely were unprepared for COVID-19 in the entire 2019 year and prior to that because they can't seem to get their thumbs out of their wallets.

He talked about unfilled positions specialty like prelim surgery, the question is does prelim increase your chances or decrease it in becoming categorical general surgery resident next year ?.
@SarangChoiMD5 ай бұрын
Increases the chance if you do well during your pre-lim. The program where you do you pre-lim can decide to give you a categorical or write you a very strong LoR for you to match into a categorical position. Plus you make significant connections during your pre-lim year.
