Laboratory . Would never say labretory its la- bO-ra- tree stress on second syllable . Lab is the short form . This might be a state difference . I come from SA. The only other one li bree ( so even shorter)

I mean the guy speaks in a cultivated accent and is comparing that to a bogan accent. That's like us comparing general American to Louisiana Creole English

That bogan in the thumbnail is my mates dad, Clint. He has been the poster boy of bogans in Australia, no the world, for decades now. He is the worlds most qualified bogan and he's never received a single cent out of it. It's just everyone else using his image for free while he lives in an old run down shed in the bush in Tasmania. Ima start a go fund me and make Clint the worlds richest bogan get onboard people!!

when I first cane to OZ you were frowned upon if you drank wine. Remember asking for 2 bottles of Septets Shalambar burgundy and got strange looks from the laddies in the Bottle shop. My land lord explained that in Sydney only Gay men and alcohlics drank wine. I brought my Bialetti coffee machine with me, only to find that it was impossible to fin coffee. Oliveoils was ok if you bought a bottle in the chemist shop.the list goes on and on, but fortunately things have changed for thee better. I came from Chile via the UK

Speak through your nose, end every sentence with an upward inflection (to make yourself sound pathetically insecure) and communicate as you would with a serious head injury.

Bar/Car are short a sounds not long, but the one that gets me that I'll never understand are the "o's". When you say "I don't *know*" for example, you put some sort of weird "r' in there with the "o" in know... or roll your tongue to the top of your mouth or something. I can't mimic it. I have no idea how or why it's done.
