This is when and where SURVIVOR “Jumped the Shark” and was never the same since. That and making white people the minority - also shaving it from 39 days to 26. All together, the “New Era” sucks. 4 out of 5 long term SURVIOR fans agree. I still watch, but it’s never been the same Post Covid and post wokeness.

Wife and I just finished this season and plan to watch 42 next. If it even starts to feel like it's pushing an agenda on me then I'll be boycotting CBS just like I have Disney. I'm late to the party, but this season was just too much. The impression I got was that Xander lost only because he's a straight white male. Half the jury was obviously going to vote for a woman and/or minority(they literally said so during the season), and Ricard was so bitter and full of himself that he'd never vote for the guy who betrayed him. Knew it was coming as soon as Jeff even mentioned the 'guys' part of his phrase... cause, c'mon, nobody would have even noticed or mentioned it if he hadn't. It's not derogatory even slightly. I've worked with mostly women in my life and say 'hi guys' to them all the time. Hell, they say 'hi guys' to each other. Anyone offended by this it is just looking for something to be offended by.

i can honestly appreciate the character shown by both jack and jamal here. jack realizing that he said something racist and immediately feeling bad about it. even if he never meant for it to come off as racial, he still felt bad about saying it and apologized for it. it takes a real man to admit when he's wrong and say sorry for it, whereas someone like ben browning from samoa used ghetto trash to describe yasmin and had never apologized. jack is twice the man ben was. and then you have jamal who was completely calm and patiently explained that stuff about privilege to jack. it shows how much he views jack as a friend and didn't want one little slip up to come between that. i can admire how mature jamal was in that situation, and as someone who is white, i would definitely jump to jamal's defense if something worse than this happened. i doubt jamal would ever need someone to defend him, but i would definitely have his back
